Streetcar - you may pleased to know then, my 20+years of riding my Harley Davidson Low Rider are over. I gave it to my son. Now he howls & prowls. I ride a 2018 BMW R1200GSA. When I really "step" on the new BMW - sounds just like an F-16 Fighting Falcon spooling up. Otherwise - it's so quiet, I can pass a field mouse urinating on a wad of cotton and go on, unnoticed.

In the day - I knew "the man" well. Local LEO gal would stop me almost every time I rode thru Cheney. Finally, one day, I asked her what her basic concern with me was. Surprisingly, her reply - - " I simply don't like motorcycles ".

To each his own. Carry on - Grasshopper.

Back in the day, i was stopped almost daily. It was always something like, light was off, too load, didn't signal, too fast, etc. I always wore a helmet, had my light on and always signaled.

So is your sister a wizard. Just tell her - "man has hydrated for eons with malt beverage, but that's not the real problem. Moderation is the problem". My "loving sister" is so hide bound, she squeaks when she walks. She has social suarries - they would drink special wines and nibble on exotic cheeses and crackers. I'd bring my own Animal Beer and a round of bratwurst or liverwurst. I'd belch and fart. Thankfully - I'm no longer invited.

Also, Johnsonville just came out with a Brat cooker. Has a sensor probe to grill the perfect Brats each and every time.

goeduck - I think that's the bottom line. At these social gatherings, I was just another "trinket". Wear nice pair of slacks, sport shirt, shined shoes. Never mention that I lived in the country, drove a tractor or, for God's sake, got any of that "country stuff" on my body.

Soooo...... I came in my Mucks, Carhartt bibs and a nice Scottish plaid flannel shirt. The Animal beer and bratwurst were an added touch. It worked.

I think, at that "last supper" my User ID was CRAP. I could see steam coming out my sister's ears.
