Z-Force S60 Commercial forward-reverse transition jerky

I bought one of these new at the end of last season. I've only used it three times now and am getting used to it after having used an RZT50 for the last couple of years. I've noticed that it is real jerky transitioning from forward to reverse motion and vice versa. Almost enough to give a guy whiplash. Is there a fix to this or something I can do different or do I just need to live with it?
