ZD 1211 , 60 vs 72" and side vs rear discharge ?

Outside storage would be a non-starter for me also. I know with the zd326 mowers there was a “P” and “S” variant (presumably professional and standard). The difference was travel speed, which may be of interest to you if the zd1211 mower has a similar distinction.
I have been thinking about trading my 2 mowers in on one zd1211, but with a 72” side discharge deck.
Good luck - I’m sure you’ll enjoy whichever model you end up with!

With my rolling property, ditchline, and the terraces I want to keep thats my concern with the larger deck. That and the fact that at my current home a 72" will not fit into my storage building so that would have me storing it outside for 18-24 months.

i may have gotten a answer to my side or read discharge the other day. most dealers this time of year arent too well stocked so I havent been able to go lay eyes on a rear discharge. Dealer I talked to other day says that the side discharge deck is heavier built than the rear discharge.

Im getting a best price of $13,500 for a ZD1211-60 and about $900 more for the 72".

where in AL are you ? Just want to know which kubota dealer you are dealing with.
I bought my ZD1021 last yr. most dealers were within a couple hundred dollars of each other. Some would come down and some would not
I do believe kubota has a set bottom dollar dealers can sell for. as I could get a couple dealers to the exact same price and they wouldn't go any lower

Dealers own their own businesses and have the franchise to sell Kubotas and Kubota does not tell them how much they have to charge for them they just tell the dealer how much they are charging the dealer the day the dealer requests price to sell Kubotas (Most new tractors on a dealers lot are owned by Kubota). Not including Canada in this because Canada/Kubota operates under different rules. Fairly obvious since Barlows sells for less than most dealers around the country. He is willing to make less profit and has been in the tractor/farm equipment business for years and thinks like a farmer (Grew up on a farm and owns farm) of working for your money and pinching pennies and not living lavish lifestyle.

Closed the deal on a new ZD1211-60 with side discharge today. They wouldnt budge any lower on price on the mower but i was in the market for another tractor implement and they came down $350ish off the implements price buying both at same time. Will see how it does next week.
