ZD 1211 recall ?

Anyone else gotten a notice for a reserve tank nozzle defect? Anyone had it done and what was the fix?

A year or so ago. Some radiator overflow tank caps did not have the hole go thru to the hose. They send you a new cap to put on. My old one was fine but put the new one on anyway because it has a mark on it to let you know it is updated.

If that is what you are referring to. Don't know of another.

This one im pretty sure says fuel tank. I got notice in the mail Saturday.

Just called a dealer … the recall consists of them checking the outlet at the bottom of the reserve tank that supplies the crossover hose to the main tank for obstruction.
This is done by draining the fuel and inserting a 3.5 mm drill bit into it. If the bit slides in fully its good and they do nothing to it. If it doesn't they will open it with the bit to relieve any over molding of the plastic.

It refers to the coolant recovery tank, not the fuel tank. There is no fuel reserve tank.

There are two campaigns. One for casting flash in the recovery tank cap that can block venting and a later one that came out in the fall for blockage in the recovery tank bottom nipple that accepts the radiator overflow hose.

I got a new cap in the mail then a recall letter for the fuel tank but mine is working fine so I hadn’t hauled it 25 miles to the dealer.
