I used the 90W gear oil and got it done. Found the Hoye video and some other notes on how to set the steering stops, but on mine the stops on the frame are too short in both directions. The steering stops at the tabs on each spindle assembly, so I'm figuring that's ok too, so long as the steering box doesnt bottom out first.
Everything went fine today, and everything we fixed works like new. I stilll have some tin to bolt back together but the drive train is in full working order.
Thanks for everyone's support, help, and especially Aaron at Hoye. Without the parts it couldn't have happened.
One last question: I changed out the burned out alternator idiot light but it still does not light up, either when pushing the test light or prior to starting. Any ideas? Is that bulb possibly a different spec?
All the others are 12v 1.7W.
Everything else is good.
