Zero turns with steering wheels?

We have a local Ferris dealer and he has been very successful. They are priced higher than most other units but utilize IMHO heavier duty bearings that are grease-able. Most all of the other units use sealed bearings. I find it interesting that Ferris has developed units without their proprietary suspension system to hit a lower price point.

Toro has addressed this ride issue with the new MY RIDE system but they still use sealed bearings which I do not like.

I'm with you on the non serviceable spindles... how much of a beating would that deck take? The deck on my JD rider is junk with 200 hours on it, wheels broke off, dented, the piece of metal at the bottom of the grass outlet broke off, also that toro has the smaller hydro motors.....

I like the price if it would hold up.

At this point I am very apprehensive about getting anything but a commercial grade tank that I know will hold up.

It would suck to spend 5 or 6 grand and have it not up to the task.

My New Holland dealer sells Bobcat zero turns. They still utilize greasable spindles. They don't have a suspension system to speak of other than the seat. They are good units but priced higher than similarly equiped Toro's, Bad Boys, etc.

Bobcat makes a nice zero turn, my dealer also sells them and they are impressive machines.

Didn't mean to hijack this mans thread. Have not had ant time to research....guess I will start another thread ...so many grades of crap before you spend 10-13 grand for a good piece that will last...Before reading any specs I suppose you ought to just look at the air filter....Anything that is designed to do real work year after year would have industrial type Donaldson canister air filter, not the crappy little homeowner filter in the engine cowl...I suppose that would be the first clue to dig deeper into the rest of it to see what they cheeping out on......
