He wants to plow and farm with this tractor.

And he can do so if he buys the Kioti. Is farm a place or an action, or both?

Has everyone forgotten that the OP only has 6 acres of land to deal with. He therefore couldn't have enough animals to justify using round bales. Even so, a rear hay spear would work for hay moving. A 30 HP @ the PTO is plenty of tractor for any need that he may have. Believe me, you can get too big a tractor for your uses. Bigger is not always better. My case in point with the LS P7010 and the B26 Kubota. Most of the time, the B26 is my go to tractor simply because it is easier to get on and off, much easier to get into tight spots and lifts most of what I need to lift. My brother in law has a NH 2310 and it handles large round bales easily with its 40 HP engine.

It is just too easy when buying boats or tractors to just keep getting larger and larger for just a few thousand more till you realize that your original thoughts was a 14 foot boat or a 25 HP tractor and now you are looking at a 30 foot boat or a 70HP tractor.

I think the JD (or maybe HD add) where the guy is looking first at a push mower, then looks at a larger one an finally is on something like a 1026 till the wife comes in and says "really" and shows him setting in a yard that is about 12'x12'.

Good post. 'Cause I agree with you. For the amount of land I'd think the Kioti DS or LS G series tractors would be the best value.

OP said he could get side-by-side comparisons at the same dealer, though, and assume he didn't care for them.

I have less than that, I could not get by with a CK, the rocks are to big.

Also it is nice to have the option to use pallet forks on the loader, or a grapple, and have enough capacity, to lift something substantial.

You also always have the bigger tractor to go to as an option, a lot of us only have one tractor. ;)

I would rather get by with enough, than not:)
