Yeah, I remember discovering that nip grip adjustment. It was like the light coming on. It was so weird to have the grease gun stuck to a zerk.

I think the winner was the 72 year old guy that had been greasing machinery all his life, and did not know about the grease gun tip loosening up. How do you think he feels.? Hey better late than never.:thumbsup:

I must have been on my third or forth grease gun and in my late forties. I guess they were all set pretty much right so I had few problems. But there were times I was frustrated with a zerk I couldn't get on, or stuck a bit when I was on one. One day I just reached out to the tip and turned it. I heard a resounding chorus in the sky: Halleluiah! I guess you could say it was a religious experience. I once was lost, but now, was found.

Thruthfully I think I was in my 40's when I "discovered" it. I was mowing a lot then with a RFM and greasing every session.

Learned me something new today, thanks for the "adjustment." FYI, I didn't know the grease fittings were called zerks until I joined TBN last fall!
