Barry,

The 4341 is a popular model--we sold two with 102 loaders from our inventory last week.

To answer your questions:
1) These tractors are easier than most diesels to prime after running out of fuel. They have a manual hand primer pump near the injection pump which will usually gets it going without bleeding the injectors---if the lines haven't been run completely dry.
2)The mechanical shuttle does require using the clutch, and it will not be quite as easy as the hydraulic one on your dozer--but with practice, it is much faster than trying to find forward and reverse on the gear shift lever. It is also much less complicated (and less costly to repair)than a hydraulic shuttle.
3)Ballpark around $200 (fluid ,filters,&labor)--unless the dealer has included this in the package price of the tractor /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
4)We recommend fluid balast at least in the rear tires--especially with a loader. Wheel weights are also available.

Balasting the tires and widening the wheels all the way out, combined with the already heavy built nature of this tractor should give you an ideal machine for your intended use.

I took one out for a drive - feels like a goat on slopes.

Anyone have a photo of loader joystick mount & instructor seat?

Thanks,

Instructors seat is only for cab models. I have a 7341.1SR at the PA Farm show with the extra seat in it. It will be their through Sat.

PS I will see if I can get a photo if it.

Picture of 102 loader on a 4341 Zetor. The joystick is (hopefully) visible on the right fender.

Chipperman,
Is this the type seat you have in the 7341.1SR. I took this shot in Czech a couple of months ago. Are they now available here?

Hey Dan,

You are thinking about the John Deere 2000 series of the 1990s. They sold green Zetors up to 90 pto hp. Something like 35% of the production or so went to Deere & Co.

So how was your trip to Brno? Did you get to see the Proxima? Anything about the in-house 6 cylinder Forterra?

I'm looking at cab model.

New Proxima is 3 cyl/turbo - I would probably stay away from the 1st year fancy hardware.

How is the seat attached - quik-tach or fold up? Otherwise it looks to block left access for a rarely used ride.

Saw one in a monster NH that had 2 br & a bath I think!

Is the cab model loader joystick same or pedestal mount?

Sorry for all the questions but the Zetor web pages are extremely thin. Putting the owners manual in a downloadable .pdf would help.

My background is automotive design & mfg where Failure Modes are telephone books but the real world feedback goes beyond what you can dream up. Guys just don't hang their purse on the turn signal stalk!

Stuff breaks - of any color. The difference is 4 W's & how often. Unfortunately Zetor owners don't seem to be Internet whiners. So, calling the dealers customers (neighbors) is netting more (still rare) issues - all of which were addressed by the dealer efficiently on-site or in the shop. For those curious: 1 issue running 7 days week for 2 years is not worth chewing over.

FWIW my Chevy started nagging soon after I brought it home - check the tires - change the oil - glad it doesn't have a voice!

Thanks,

Yes, I believe that is the same one. It folds up and over. They should be available any day now. Hope all is well.

Hey Woodbeef,
The trip to Brno----I was unexpectedly impressed. Saw a lot of the country-side of Czech Republic, several towns, great scenery, excellent brew, and no ugly women /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.
The Zetor plant was very large and modern, and yes, we saw the new Proxima tractors--no pictures were allowed of them at that time. We could take pictures of anything else, but they did not want any leaks on the new tractor until they were formally announced. We had the opportunity to run them, though. I liked what I saw--seemed like they are based more on the Forterra style, with single head engines. Sounded great.
No info. on the six pot engine, though.
