Barry,
The extra seat in the picture could be folded back out of the way, and if I remember correctly, could be completely removed ,by pulling a couple of pins.(That cab had only 1br and 1/2 bath--to make room for the extra seat /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

The joystick on the cab models is mounted much the same way as on the open tractors----not a pedestal mount.

I agree about the Zetor web site---you were too kind in saying that it is a little thin. I can guarrantee that this will be brought-up at the next dealer meeting---which is only a couple of weeks away.

Well, my new Zetor 4341 is sitting in my driveway! I've only had time so far to put about 1.5 hours on the machine. I like it. This is a good sized heavy duty tractor with a lot of extra features but it will be several weeks before I can give it a good workout. Now, I'm waiting for a foot of snow so I can try out the back blade. I bought the tractor from Kim Markus at Busted Back Tractor Sales in Ravensdale, WA and he has been very helpful and great to deal with. This tractor came with larger tires than the specs. called for, but since both the fronts and rears are larger, they should match up reasonably well. The rear tires are 18.4x30" and the front tires are 12.4x24". As I get to know it better, I'll post updates. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Congrats on your new machine! 18.4's should float! Local lakes have about 18" of ice but the Mississippi is open further south for swimming.

I'm getting closer. Other local dealers have a JD 6300 in mint condition for a little more money or a 5410 for a little less more money.

When you get a chance to warm it up please comment on heater capability.

How long did it take to clean out the barn to make room for it?

Air temp was -15 this AM so not too motivated to be outside but did find a radiator cap for my JD A for free!! Courtesy of Gotvelds Corner in Morrison County. They have a fairly large Ag "recycling" inventory.

Barry, I won't be able to help you in the heater department; I have the open station model, no cab, no heater. I do not have a shed with enough room to hold the tractor, so it is parked outside for now. I did get to clear the driveway of snow this morning. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif This spring I plan to erect a 42x64' arch-syle shop on my land. The tractor will help with site leveling and raising materials with the front end loader. I may make a long boom for the 3 pt. to raise each arch from the ground to its upright position. The top of the arch will be 20' above grade. Should be interesting.

Make sure you do your research on those arch buildings. I had the same plans, but latter changed my mind to a pole building after I did my reasearch.

Good Luck

Sounds like fun. We have a 40X63X12 '81 pole barn & it's full (when the new Zetor shows up) I put pallet racking around walls & machinery in the middle. Ridge lite down the peak gives it plenty of light during the day. Add a remote control roll up door for the finishing touch. Just beware of the headroom loss if you have anything high.

How do you store off road diesel? I'm thinking a pick up bed 55 or 110 Gal that I take out & put in a 3 sided shed. New Zetor has a 26 gal tank. Biggest consumer in the barn. Neighbor runs 3 Zetors & said when he switched to Zetor it saved him 1000 gal/year.

Hey Barry,
Congratulations on your decision for the new Zetor. As usual, I'm partial, but I'm sure you won't be sorry.
Are you getting the 4341.1 cab model? If so, the fuel tank should be 32gal.
Were you able to get the passenger seat?
Sorry to be so nosey. Just curious.

Yes, 4341.1 SR cab loader & bunch of bits & pieces. Did get the 2nd seat. Best item is big o'l rusty 1 1/2-2 yard snow bucket with welded reinforcements & quik tach $200. I'll add wings & have something along the lines of an airport runway plow! Should be put together by mid month. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Barry, congratulations on your new tractor. I got to use my 4341 a little more several days ago when we had a substantial snow. I mounted a 3 pt. rear blade, 8 ft. wide, and cleared the snow in the driveway and around the road. The county snow plow was slow in plowing the road so I took off down the county road and worked up through the gears to 4th gear, high range. I plowed about a mile and a half and turned around a came back the other way. In the thicker drifts I had to gear down because the engine is new and I didn't want to work it too hard yet. Once or twice the drifts were deep enough to push the rear of the tractor a little to the side because of the angled blade, but this machine is big enough to do some serious work. I wish all my work was this much fun.
