I'm looking at a Zetor 7745 with an allied loader, it has 5500 hrs on it and was a trade at a dealer. Evidently there was a problem with the transmisson, which was repaired by the dealer's shop. But I know basically nothing about Zetors.
The use for the tractor will be pushing snow, hauling firewood and sap at my house and as a backup tractor for the hay operation that I help my folks with.
I currently have a 606 IH gas, which does alright but 4x4 would come in handy in the woods.
I've heard that the hyrdaulics can be slow, especially the bucket. Is this true, and is there any way to upgrade? How is the speed from the remotes? I run a splitter all winter and would probably hook this up to a Vemeer bale wrapper for the summer, which is all hydro.
And I probably know the answer but how is the turning radius? I have some tight skid roads.

I drove down to look at this tractor last week. And I have another question.
There are 3 hydraulic outlets on the back. 1 set of remotes and then another single outlet. The loader is hooked into the single and then the (In) or top of the remote. Leaving only one empty. Is this normal? Is there any other way to plumb it so I can have a FEL and a set of remotes for a bale grabber etc?

its difficult to plumb it in otherwise: you would have to get into and out of the transmission with the re-routed oil line. I operate a 4 valve block on the loader, leaving 2 extra double acting functions for loader implements. To operate any 3pt hitch implements i have to take 1 loader line out and quick couple them in at the back. For me it works this way because i dont use 3pt implements and the loader at the same time..

You shouldnt expect the tightest turning radius of this tractor to avoid the trees. Instead, it has the grunt to just bash over them ;)

For parts, contact http://www.ridgewaytractorparts.com/
Oil pumps last about 3000 hrs in heavy loader use, but are very cheap to replace. You might also need things like a water pump and some clutch and brake master cylinders in the future. They dont cost much from ridgeway. For the rest, this is a rock solid tractor.

You could also take a look at the forum at www.zetorworld.com

Thanks for the reply. I'm picking it up tomorrow, baring anything really odd with it.
I just can't get a 4x4 with the hp for less from any other brand. I spoke with the previous owner, who traded it because he needed more HP but said the tractor was compeltely reliable.
