I don't recommend any combination plasma/tig/stick units. Too much going on inside. Not our best product.
Do you mean powerultra or powerpro? I don't sell them if I can help it.

If you want a stick and a plasma cutter, I can make you a price on it, if you call me.

Mark, thank you for your honest opinion even on your own product it's nice to know there are still retailers out there looking out for customer's. I will be giving you a call soon.

Dave

Whenever you have more components in a system, you have more to go wrong. Its a mathematical probability scenario. Its not that the units are BAD, its that I don't see the same level of reliability out there. Knowing all that I do, and dealing with it everyday,I know they work as advertised, but a lot of people don't understand how complex they are to work with and that maintenance is higher.

Mark, rereading my post I could have phrased that post a little differently than I did. I know as well as you do when you start adding more parts to the mix you are bound to have more problems at some point as the machine ages no matter what type of machine it is. I would rather spend a little more upfront for two seperate units to get the reliability because I hate spending money twice if I don't have to. Again thank you for your honest opinion.

Mark I recall you saying that the 6010 port was removed from the pa-200. Does this mean it no longer can run 6010s? Or was there some other changes made that let it still work?

No it runs 6010's just as well. I do think we may have gone back to the three port design though due to the complaints that it generated and the concern. Most people think that it won't run without the two port design. But from my extensive use side by side of both models, it runs just fine and we have had no complaints or problems posted about it whatsoever. My hope is to go back to the two port and stay.

Mark, I am wondering if the PA-200 is big enough to run an arcair torch. I am just wondering incase I ever need to run one.

We do have some guys doing limited air arc...but the electrodes are fairly small that they use.

You may want to make a try for our NEW PA 300...or our MTS 400 with a special setting just for air arc.

Mark, How do the water cooled TIG torches operate? (the short version, I could read the manuals..:D)
