Yanmar YM1500D & 1700 Tractors - Looking to purchase - Advice???

Yup compared to what I paid he would be getting a real bargain on what looks like an original condition low hours green Yanmar that he can get all the parts he ever wants for if needed.

I would seriously look at it knowing what I know now. That will be a very handy tractor to have around very very handy.

i too if this is what you want go look at it. Test the loader with dirt in it. test the back hoe. Shift though all the gears while moving it around to make sure they all work. Then start hagling on price. Thats a good tractor for the money, i think.

heck if you decied you dont want the backhoe i bet you could turn an easy 3k out of it if not $3500 to the right person. Then you would have the tractor for around 6k!

Thanks for the input guys! I am debating on seeing this on the weekend. I don't have the $9,500; I would have to lowball him down to $5,000 and work up to $7,000.

On another note....this guy contacted me on a ad that expired. He said he'd sell this to me for $4,800 including shipping and insurance. Deal??? Scam???

Next he will tell you that the tractor is now in Portugal but he will pay all shipping, all he needs is a deposit to hold it for you. For some reason Kubotas are the choice of all the scammers for their games.

A while back somebody figured out how to hijack Ebay accounts and suddenly hundreds of old ladies switched over from selling scrapbooking stuff to offering Kubotas. I think the game continues on Craigslist. One certain clue is a price under $5k, I think this is because there is a limit on Western Union Money orders that is lower than that figure.

Google some text from that CL ad and I expect you will find that Kubota is offered 'locally' from Guam to Nova Scotia.
