You Know You Are Old When

When this is how you buy jeans
  1. Go to Chain Store
  2. Stand in front of Wall O’ Jeans
  3. Pretend to Read signs
  4. Look for cheapest price
  5. Fail to find appropriate size
  6. Look for next cheapest price
  7. Decide the word “Relaxed” is good
  8. Think about relaxing
  9. Realize you’re not
  10. Grab a pair of relaxed fit in correct(ish) size
  11. Try them on
  12. If they don’t hurt, buy them
  13. Get the hell out
  14. Wear ugly jeans until they disintegrate
  15. Repeat

Not me, I go to the Wranglers web site, order the ones I like, and a couple of days later the UPS guy delivers them.
No more searching piles of jeans for the size and style I want.

Remember when you got new shoes and they measured your foot? Do they even still do this?

I saw that list, so I posted it. FYI, I find Amazon has better pricing for Wrangler Cowboy Cut Original Indigo in my 34x34 size than the Wrangler site. $30 vs $55. But, like anything on Amazon, you get outside of the high-volume items (in this case size and color), you can pay a lot more.

My friend felt really old when his father in law remarried and friend was older than his new mother in law by 10 years!

Remember Shoe-fitting fluoroscopes?
I honestly thought you were refering to this

After I looked up a fluroscope, kind of glad I don't remember ever using them. Not certain if going to a shoe store to have your feet being x-rayed :ROFLMAO:

I'm not THAT old yet, but I remember when my parents would take my shoes to the cobler to be resoled

Cabelas has or had a size chart you could print off to tell your shoe size.
I bought 3 pair of the same boots over the years.
The fourth pair I bought was too small. I ended up donating them.
