I can not say anything negitive about this machine.
Model Year: 2002

This machine is awesome!! The Glide Shift Transmission is the sweetest operating transmission of any machine I have ever used. This machine surprises me in all it does with out anything breaking. Power is very good and fuel consumption is good at about 1 hour 10 min. per gallon average (from plowing to mowing). I truly love this machine.

Pros: Very Reliable
Cons: None

Love the 3130, but wish I had more power
Model Year: 2006

This gem does everything I want, but with hills, I could use more get up and go in 2nd range. high range is unusable for anything except going down hill. The 734 bucket, quick release, 5 ft woods bush hog disk and 5ft rototiller are the toys. The size is perfect for my woods trails, laying in food plots, getting rid of multiflora rose, cutting ditches, pushing downed trees moving dirt, putting up tree stands, doing executive hunts and hanging the deer in the barn for field dressing. Moves mulch, makes friends with neighbors who don't have such good toys. 600+ for pick up and 200hr service. No problems. Wish it was a 40 for coming up hills and would make high a possible function in HST range.

Pros: all the above
Cons: none, I wish I had tried out a 40 in the hills before buying.

So this is my second tractor, but I've been around them since I was a kid. My dad had an old and small JD and then an old and beat up Kubota. I've owned both a Branson 3210 and now my Kubota. The fit, finish and quality of the Kubota is unbeatable. I have the heavy loader and backhoe on it. They are both very very well made. Looking at everything from the weld seems to the gauge of metal used is what convinced me in the end to move to the Kubota. The hydraulic connections and hoses are all of high quality. The engine is easy to perform maintenance on and all the filters are easily accessible. One thing I don't like is the 3 point hitch connections. They all require nuts and bolts to be taken on or off when you switch implements around. One day I'll probably drill it all out and put standard pins in place. This is really amazing since the backhoe comes off and on in a jiffy. The ground clearance and stability of this tractor have been great. I live in a mountainous area with lots of stumps and bushes. I have yet to feel concerned about rolling and have never bottomed on a stump. The four wheel drive performance in snow is incredible. One thin I wish it had was telescoping steering as I always feel a little far from the wheel, but maybe it is because my legs are too long. It has 350 hours on it and has not developed any slop or rattle in the loader, backhoe or other areas when in use as so many other do.

Pros: Well built and solid. Easy to maintain. Great gauges and display.
Cons: The 3 point connections are all threaded which makes for a pain to chane implements

We purchased the tractor with several large projects in mind including landscaping our yard, cleaning up our parents business and home properties, deconstructing a large attached deck, snow removal and driveway maintenance, and brush and stump removal. The Kubota did a great job handling everything that we threw at it and it inspired confidence in me as an operator with relatively little experience. With a large frame for it's power rating, the 3130 provides a very stable platform for loader duties even without having the rear tires loaded (we used a box blade as ballast) and rarely could I feel the rear getting light. Our current tractor has loaded rears and even though it is smaller, the added stability pays big dividends so I have no doubt that would make the Kubota even more stability - money well spent IMO. The lift capacities for the tractor's power rating were very good and the controls allowed for very precise movements. If we needed to lower or raise a heavy load using the bucket or forks just a fraction of an inch - it was no problem. That fact made the construction and deconstruction of our decks much easier. We were able to remove large sections at a time and load them onto a trailer for transport to another location. The Hydro on the Kubota is the smoothest, most precise of any tractor I have used - ever! The controls were also very intuitive making for much safer operation by avoiding moving a control in the wrong direction. Overall, the Kubota was an excellent tractor and I would highly recommend the brand and model.

Pros: Good frame size, super smooth controls and hydro, good lift capacities, very good standard options, smooth quiet engine with good power, three gear ranges provide good power optimization, solid build quality
Cons: Hard for me to think of any cons

My first experience with a tractor, but now living on 11 acres with a 600 foot driveway, we needed something to do the heavy loading and hauling and especially to deal with snow removal. We first considered smaller models, but soon realized that was false economy. Delivered with a front end loader and snow blower, we soon added a back blade to help maintain the dirt road we use to access our property. Five years later, we don't know how we'd have gotten by without this workhorse. Great machine, reliable, and easy to operate.

Pros: Plenty of power, easy to operate, versatile
Cons: Haven't found any yet

GREAT WORKSHORSE
Model Year: 0

This was my first tractor so I don't have a lot of benchmarks with which to compare. The machine has done a power of work on our small farm, including cutting in and laying bottoming and gravel on over 400 feet of driveway, digging and trenching for drains and septic tanks (two), skidding logs plus general farm work such as ploughing, tilling and mowing. The only item that I have repeated trouble with is the seat belt. We don't get a lot of snow or frost here but I seem to have to replace it every spring. It doesn't seem to be designed for outside conditions.

Pros: Reliable, easy to service, low running costs, versatility, holds its value well.
Cons: Seat belt gives out each year if subject to only mild frost.

Second Tractor
Model Year: 2006

After having overpaid for a Ford 4000 and having the block crack after a little over a year. We decided to buy a new tractor. After looking around and talking to a few people(I had not found Tractorbynet) we went to the Kubota Dealer and bought a package deal. This included a back blade, a mower, and a FFL. It came with a 16 foot bumper pull trailer. I later added a two bottom plow and a 6 ft. disc as well as a 48 in. tiller. The tractor and I have managed to do just about everything I needed to get done. I think it is a great value for the money. A larger tractor and larger implements would help at times, so, I sometimes think about that. A smaller unit would be nice to mow some of the sidehills I call a yard. : ). Overall I have been happy with my choices.

Pros: Good value for the money.
Cons: Larger would be nice for my acreage

Pappeem L3130 w/ woods 723 Hoe
Model Year: 2004

Quality not quite what was expected. Probably the feeling of inferior quality is related to selling dealer. Bad experience from get-go. From new, lift arms for bucket were tweaked. On level ground right side of bucket was 2" higher than left. Many complaints overlooked by selling dealer in New Hampshire. A trailer jack knife flipping Kubota onto roof straightend unit out to be a perfect tractor. Found a different dealer to do repairs. They cared!! Design of Woods 723 Back hoe POOR. Fittings on outriggers and Boom @ shovel constantly being slammed by small rocks. Some protection would be good. Factory rooting of hyd hoses poor choice. Constantly replacing hoses and shielding them with old fire hose. If I bought new again, I would look Seriously at KIOTI.

Pros: compact, runs pto equipt well
Cons: Severley under powered hydraulics, especially back hoe
