TC30 New Holland
Good Machine
Model Year: 2001

I put this tractor to the test! Loader, back hoe, making hay, I used it like it was a D8 dozer for a few years; it performed well. Will carry heavy loads with loader with only frt. tires on the ground and not even wince. Best money I ever spent!

Pros: Reliable.
Cons: Didn't come with rear hyd. outlets or drawbar.

My TC30 Saddle Experience
Model Year: 2006

I love my "big blue snow shovel" TC30. I have built two dams, set many timbers, made 4 motocross tracks, cleared countless trails and blazed my own. I've pulled out rocks with the back hoe large enough to tip the tractor backwards. If you take your time and really think about your move, this tractor can move mountains. Plus, it fits in spots the large 45 hp will not. The only issue I've had is the bucket down control. Have heard others have the same thing going on. All other breaks have been my heavy foot and hands on the controls. All of which haven't been too bad to do myself. Just snapped the rear axle housing... oops.

Pros: Size and power.
Cons: Down control.

First and Last
Model Year: 2004

I purchased my TC30 from Kahn Tractor in Franklin, CT. It is my first real tractor. The TC was somewhat lower tech and had fewer features than the TD's or Boomers but, with all-metal hood and fenders, seemed like a better choice for a tractor I was planning on owning for many years. It was also somewhat less expensive. I chose the geared (vs hydro) model partly for cost reasons and partly b/c I thought the hydro might be more failure-prone over the 30+ year term I was planning on owning this tractor. I have had the TC for 8 years now and it has been great. My only beef is that I wished I had bought the hydro. My hilly 15 acres has me spending more time maneuvering than doing field work and the hydro would have been a better fit.

Pros: More metal than plastic, reliable, good value.
Cons: Some light-duty components.

Got a great deal on this tractor new, with a backhoe attachment. I have worked it hard and it has held up wonderfully. Super dependable and tough.

Pros: Great durability and dependability.
Cons: Hitch arm turnbuckles are a pain. Parts are very expensive.

TC 30
Model Year: 2005

Hey guys, I'm new so bear with me. I formally had an old Massey 175 that never let me down, unless I tried to go into damp areas too early in the spring (2WD only). I moved from a 20 acre lot to 2.5 acres and now have a 2005 New Holland TC30. I was fairly apprehensive about dropping to a smaller tractor but I wanted to be able to use it for landscaping and lawn duty, and that just wasn't possible with my big 'ole Massey with ag tires. Now that I had my TC30 for a few months, I can say that other than wishing the FEL had bit more lift capacity, I am surprised by how much this little tractor can do. I have used it to move about 100 cu/yards of gravel to extend my lane way, 60 yards of topsoil for the lawn, and cleared about an acre of weeds and shrubs with a 5' rotary mower. I also bought a Kubota 65" snow blower which work like a charm, and a 72" finishing mower which I hope speeds up my mowing on 1.5 acres of lawn (as soon as the snow goes). I also own 40 acres of bush about 30 miles away and plan to use it to help me move/cut firewood, and I'm having an 18' trailer built by the spring. I'm building a skidding attachment in my shop right now. All in all a great little tool: Big enough for 90% of what I need, and small enough to use on the lawn (R4 tires) without sinking in. theshopguy

Pros: Small enough to use for lawn work and fits into tight places.
Cons: Could use a little more power/lift on the FEL.

TC30 Hydro
Model Year: 2006

This tractor is about as versatile as it gets. I have the hydro transmission, a rear hydraulic remote, a quick hitch, a 2" receiver hitch on both front and back, and a quick detach 7308 loader with a universal attachment plate. Rear end on this tractor is very light - fluid filled tires are a necessity for safety.

Pros: Hydro transmission is a necessity.
Cons: 3 point chains are poor.

7 Year Review
Model Year: 2003

Overall I give our TC30 a 4 out of 5 star review. I deducted 1 star based upon the following areas: 1) Build Quality - Could be a little more heavy duty in some areas like other brands are in same size class. 2) Features again lack a little compared to same size class tractors in other brands. 3) Value: Not really a issue since every brand is now cheaper in same size class than when we bought ours. 4) Not really impressed with the durability of the little things like dash gauges. With only a little use (beyond the warranty period of course), fuel gauge went first then temp. gauge soon followed. For the cost of a OEM replacement---not worth it at $85 each. Especially if one takes apart the old gauge and looks at how simple it is. Other simple parts are also extremely HIGH priced. Dealer only receives 2 stars since they have been helpful after the sell, but before the sell, they were far from helpful in regards to configuration of tractor for our use. Now what could of been factory installed at a lessor price must be installed after sell at a higher mark up. Coupled with a 951 mower, 757C Backhoe and 7308 front loader

Pros: Great midsize tractor.
Cons: High price of OEM parts.

NH TC 30

Been a great tractor. I use the bucket more than the backhoe, but when I do need it it's wonderful! Only issue with the tractor is the back hoe. The bucket that came with it is a 18", I really feel for the HP it puts out it should have been a 12", maybe even a 10". It does dig well though with it's 8'6" max depth as long as you don't run into any big roots. I've had it at some pretty steep angles with out any issues or fear of tipping, I do use the back hoe as counter balance in those situations which helps. Overall, great tractor for the money. Very happy with it.

Pros: Good value.
Cons: Stock backhoe bucket too big for HP output.

2006 TC 30
Model Year: 2006

I love my tractor. Having moved out into the country from the big city. It seems that all chores and tasks are bigger. Without my TC30 with the loader, mid mount mower & front mounted snow blower life out here would be close to impossible.

Pros: 4 wheel drive.
Cons: None.

TC30 New Holland
Good Solid Tractor
Model Year: 2000

This is a nice tractor. I'm the 3rd owner. Despite poor upkeep, it run s great. I'm always surprised at how tough it is. I've cleared snow, spread gravel to make a 300' drive, moved gravel fill for a culvert, moved 4 chords of wood in the bucket, bush hogged 12 acres, etc. I've changed the fluids and greased it, and used it. 4wd + 2wd. Starts right up. The tires are 10 years old- Ag tires. The front tires might be a little light for the bucket- but they are holding up. Great tractor. I would buy another.

Pros: Powerful.
Cons: None really.

TC30 New Holland
Everything is extra $$$
Model Year: 2003

Great tractor, but not knowing it didn't have a toolbox ($150)and needing front weights would have been nice. Also it did have a way to mount a ball hitch. My friends Kubota had a tool box and hitch with it. It's a mowing machine though. Has the HST transmission, so if you can push the pedal, anyone can drive it! I bolted a my toolbox on the fender, added a rear light, front weights ($200 including shipping, and a FEL three years later.

Pros: Great Tractor!!
Cons: You should finance the FEL, Weights, Etc on the day you buy.

TC30 New Holland
Only Ban Feature
Model Year: 2008

With the loader the TC 30 is weak. Rear mounts of loader mounts to flywheel housing that is very thin around the mount. My tractor broke into at housing. Bell housing broke and engine tabs broke where bell housing attaches. Thank God that tractor was still under warranty. The dealer repaired by replacing bell housing & engine. New Holland should have beefed up bell housing or used a sub frame. Other than that, this is a great & powerful little tractor!!

Pros: A great deal of tractor for the money.
Cons: Weak design for loader mounts.

TC30
Model Year: 2007

I've been very please with my New Holland TC30. It is used to primarily mow, brush hog, and move snow. In addition it is called upon to do occasional light bucket work and haul fire wood. It has done everything I've wanted with no problems. At the time of purchase I considered Kubota, John Deer, and Mahindra. Comparing 30HP, 4WD, HST tractors - New Holland had the best price.

Pros: Value.
Cons: Fixed roll bar.

TC30
Model Year: 2001

Although others have listed problems with clutch housing / transmission cracking, not sure if this is a later year problem or if limited to standard transmissions, as I have the HST model. Over all has been a real workhorse. Only real complaint is the outrageous over-priced parts if you want to factory fix a problem. $84 for a replacement fuel gauge that lasted just past warranty and measured maybe 1.5 inches by 1 inch. After market fuel gauge and sender $28 and is more accurate, go figure. All in All though, it has been a solid investment.

Pros: Reliable, easy to maintain, durable
Cons: OVER PRICED PARTS!!!

Great 1st Tractor

Couple of minor problems. Middle injector worked loose and fuel pump connector had crud in it. I sometimes think maybe I should have bought something bigger, but then I look at all the work I'm getting done!

Pros: Tough! Handles easily
Cons: None

TC30 New Holland
TC30 Manual Transmission 9X3 4WD
Model Year: 2006

Excellent tractor for the money. This is the second TC30 that I have owned. It is a very tough tractors for the size. The biggest problem that I have had is that the rear wheels were too close to the fenders to put chains on the tractor. I reversed the rear wheels and now the chains are not a problem. It appears that the wheels were turned the wrong way when the tractor was delivered. The starter does not engage sometimes when the tractor is cold (below freezing). Have not determined the cause of the problem.

Pros: Does not break easily.
Cons: I wish the roll bar would fold down so I could drive it into my garage.
