The title of this review is to indicate the price I paid for the carcasses of two non-running AC "G" tractors and the degree of certainty I harbor concerning my ability to make them run. The tractors get 5 stars in each of the two categories, "Build Quality" and "Features," because the G has a good reputation as a platform for conversion to electric drive and because of the many conventional Gs still running, at least according to YouTube. They get 3 stars in the other three categories, since those refer to attributes of a functioning tractor, a status for which the venerable assemblages under the nearby shed have only the potential. I feel that putting up a picture would be premature due to the amount of tool acquisition and workplace preparation still needing to be done and the aura of doubt and ambiguity surrounding the entire project.

Pros: I've seen other electric Gs on YouTube which appeared to run.
Cons: These sat out in the weather for a long time.

I purchased this little 10hp Allis mainly because I have always wanted one to use in our garden(s). No, it is by no means fancy or new, but it it so handy to use as a cultivating tractor due to it's small size and ease of use. It's simple to use, and it places the operator right above what is being cultivated. It works so well we have not even had to start the rototiller except for the tomatoes and peppers. I can work our entire garden (2 acres) in about an hour and a half. Since the first purchase of this G, I now have two more.

Pros: Ease of use, simple mechanics, variety of implements still around.
Cons: Parts are a little difficult to locate.
