Don't Be Scared in Purchasing a 500 Series or Newer Belarus

I purchased a new Belarus 572 to replace my Massey 165. The Belarus would do more in 2wd than the Massey with chains. I did 300,000 approx. worth of driveways over 10 years and replaced only the clutch, which was child's play, and changed the oil. It is crude but parts are so interchangeable between various models its crazy. Power is super. I used it for 10 yrs. and sold it for 5000 less than I paid new. I had 2 used ones since that I used on my wood lot and after using them made a considerable profit selling them both. A dream to repair but crude without many comforts of the tractors that cost 3 times as much. All in all a very good investment and a real work horse that your sister could repair!

Pros: Work horse.
Cons: Crude.
