Case 211B
Model Year: 1958
I've had this tractor for more than 15 years now, and it has been a pretty good all-around tractor. I find that 30 hp class tractors are almost ideal for a small, casual hobby farmer, and this one fits the bill nicely. The triple range transmission, giving 12 forward and 3 reverse speeds is very handy. It is large and heavy enough to handle a front end loader (trip bucket) but no power steering. The main disadvantages of this old tractor are the lack of a live PTO and some difficulty obtaining parts. Case used a lot of different engines, and the G126 used in this machine is not especially common. I was able to obtain rings and bearings, however, and it is now a pretty strong runner. Overall, a nice handy little tractor for a small hobby farm.
Pros: Triple range transmission, good solid tractor.
Cons: Parts availability, no live PTO, no power steering.
