1985 Long 610 4WD with Long Loader

I bought this tractor as a "basket case". The engine had spun a rod bearing. After we majored the engine, she runs great and does whatever I need it to do: - Grading driveway and landscape - Plowing snow - Gathering fire wood w/old - Fransgard winch - Uprooting trees and bushes

Pros: Inexpensive alternative, built ruggedly.
Cons: Not a platform tractor, olg 2 lever loader controls.

I bought this tractor with a bad engine. I repaired the engine and have been using it for harvesting wood and the upkeep of my yard and driveway. The four wheel drive is great since my woodlot is on a side hill. My previous tractor was a Ford 641 2-wheel drive with a loader, but no power steering. It was a nice tractor, but not the best suited to my needs. The Long also has a loader and I have an antique Fransgard winch. I have had to replace tie rod ends and repair the power steering as well as some other minor things to repair, like the tachometer. All and all, for the modest amount of money I have in it this tractor, it does everything I need it to.
