Pretty Good Mower
Model Year: 2004
i bought the Toro from the widow of a guy who had passed away right after buying it. I am sure the Toro was not the cause. Anyway, used to mow my 1 acre, my dad's property an another 1/2 acre belonging to my sister, never had any problems. The Toro always seem to give a good smooth cut. I often volunteered to cut the church property, which was a little over 2.5 acres. It was usually cut every two weeks, and should have been cut every week with its fast growing green grass. i noticed that when cutting the church property, the mower seem to be a wee bit under-powered, grass height was about 4-6 inches, the engine would bog down, causing me occasionally to raise the deck level an have to make another pass. Ninety percent of the time, the mower performed flawless and with no major parts replaced during the 4 years I owned it. Of course, I kept the oil/filter changed an the mower greased. I did my best to keep the under-body, clean an clear. Overall, a very good mower. also, pulled aerator, detatcher an cart with no problems.
Pros: Good motor, decently built an very reliable, easy maintenance.
Cons: Not heavy duty, no hour meter, maybe needed an 18 horse instead of the 16.
