503 TYM
Great little 50HP unit
Model Year: 2012

Starts and runs great. Enclosed cab with AC/Heater and CD. Joy Stick and lever and pedal controls. Loader bucket and 3 point. Love this unit but only use it 2-4 hours a year. Looking to sell for $20,000 NPHall@TecMarket.net

Pros: Everything about it is great
Cons: Paint could be a thicker higher quality high impact paint

Loving my TYM
Model Year: 2013

I am totally pleased with this unit with fel it has done way more than I expected. I farmed over 700 acres for 30 years sold everything and bought this little to me unit.

Pros: small manuverable size with plenty of power - cat/perkins engine smooth as silk
Cons: minor dislike is remote levers are farther back than I would like

503 TYM
Best Bang for the Buck
Model Year: 2013

Hard to beat this tractor for price, reliability, and standard features. It's been a wonderful tractor to operate. It consumes more diesel than I expected and the seat needs a rebound cylinder. It is either to loose and bounce you out of the seat or to tight and creates a stiff ride. I considered Kubota, but the features are not there like the TYM, and the price was $12,000 dollars more. I also own a smaller Kubota that I purchased new in 2006, and I have a lot of complaints about it and the service from the dealers.

Pros: Price, standard features, reliability.
Cons: Seat.

503 TYM
15.000 Less Than Yellow and Green
Model Year: 2013

I bought my tractor based on reviews I found on here for TYM tractors. Before reading about them on here I had never heard of them. After looking into them (cab, 4 wheel drive, cat 1 PTO, 50 HP, FEL, etc.) and finding out that it was only $24K, it was a no brainer. And it has a Cat/Perkins diesel. Seems to be really well built. Haven't found any loose bolts (first thing I checked) and of course it started right up. I bought a Pheonix tiller, LMC pallet forks, post hole digger, and bush hog for a grand price out the door of $28.5K. Looked at John Deere (37K), Kubota (33K), and Massey Ferguson (28K). None had a cab, and those are just the tractor prices for a 50 hp tractor. I will update this as I get more hours on the tractor but so far it seems like just what I needed!

Pros: Cat/Perkins diesel, cab.
Cons: None yet.

503 TYM
Still Liking My 503
Model Year: 2011

No other tractor I considered has more standard features. - Beefy 10 ply industrial tires, reliable Cat/Perkins diesel - Fuel economy above expectations - 16 speed transmission forward and reverse, makes for safer mowing in tight places - Large, easy to access fuel tank - Heavy duty draw bar, and a 3 point hitch with 1 hand adjustability (no turnbuckles) - 2 remote hydraulic outlets above PTO for logsplitter or other hydraulic implements. - Comfortable seat with armrests, rearview mirrors, good control placement - The one-piece ROPS doesn't fold, and dropping it to fit in a low clearance shed may be a bit of an inconvenience. My only complaint is the delay in the dump response in the FEL. The loader, (skid steer compatable) has a glitch that is probably relates to the joystick valve. The valve has been replaced under warranty. Other than that, the TYM 503 has been a great addition to my operation. In minutes, I can go from the 6' FEL bucket to the fork lift attachment for unloading steel or moving heavy items around the studio. This is a versatile tractor, best suited to utility, not as massive as a comparable John Deere ag tractor. Lots of refinement in ergonomics, though if I were in a rougher environment, I'd want something with more ground clearance. This has a fairly low center of gravity, and is perfect for my needs. I have continued to look at other brands of tractors, and still feel that I made the right choice.

Pros: More features for the money, very comfortable to operate, great ergonomics and visibility.
Cons: Balky loader response.

503 TYM
Switched From a Kubota
Model Year: 2013

I was nervous about purchasing a not so well known tractor. Shopped Kubota, J. Deere, Mahindra, and Koiti. Kubota priced themselves out, J. Deere had a cheap 3 point system, Mahindra didn't have an adjustable 3 point system like I wanted. Kioti was 2K more and the dealer was 50 miles farther than the TYM dealer. After it's all done I have NO regrets. I bale hay and I wanted a cab, a hydrostatic trans., and 50-60 hp. I've owned two Kubotas and so far TYM is a equal or maybe better in several areas. The Koreans have got their ducks in a row! I do like the Perkins/Cat engine.

Pros: Heavy duty axle system.
Cons: Not well known yet.

503 TYM
TYM 50hp Cab & HST
Model Year: 2013

I was tired of fighting heat and dust cutting about 150 acres of hay. I started out just cab shopping. I've owned two non-cab Kubotas, 30 hp & 38 hp, both were okay tractors. When I looked at new a Kubota, They were way out in price when I looked at the Grand L. John Deere isn't close. New Holland was just under the other two in price. TYM had the best features for the price: nice cab, great front end loader, outstanding three point hookup---very H.D. Good torque arms w/ adjustable pinned bars---NOT the turnbuckle arms; they are a deal killer as far as I'm concerned. Changing implements with the turnbuckle style arms is terrible, plus they aren't as strong. South Korea has very a good production environment and quality control with the farm equipment following the footsteps of Hyundai and Kia. TYM had a 5 yr. warranty and my dealer offered an additional 5 yr. through Cenex Oil: use their oil, change as required and keep records, 10yr./10,000 hr. drive train warranty. $299 and its transferable. I hate to be the first guy on the block to try something new, but I couldn't pass this up. Too many plus issues!

Pros: High quality, up to date engineering, and price +WARRANTY.
Cons: Not a major brand in U.S. Resale?

503 TYM
Excellent Value
Model Year: 2011

The TYM 503 tractor has proven itself in mowing, blading, forklift and front loader operation. The industrial tires, the skid steer disconnect, the 16x16 shuttle transmission, large fuel tank, 2 remote hydraulics, Cat/Perkins engine make for a great multi-use package. Easy cold starting, ample power and surprising fuel economy were icing on the cake. The base price of this scratch/dent leftover special deal was well under 19K, including a forklift accessory and engine heater. Small extras include very supportive suspension seat, large rearview mirrors, tilt wheel, great 3 pt linkage design and good control ergonomics. There are some shortcomings that must be considered. The FEL valve return hydraulic hose is placed too close to the right brake linkage, and has some wear showing. The FEL valve has had some control issues and both the valve, and the hose will be replaced under warranty at the 50 break-in lube service. This tractor doesn't seem to have as much ground clearance with the loader mount framework as others like Massey Ferguson and Kubota. But, the FEL framework seems much beefier than others; which I like. Also, the brake linkage seems to be a bit more in the open than other brands, but could mean that it is easier to service. Following break-in service, I will augment this review as I learn more about the 503's capabilities and limitations. So far, I am quite pleased with the investment.

Pros: Many features standard, easy cold starts, good fuel economy, well designed FEL with skidsteer attachment linkage, great visibility and maneuverability.
Cons: Vulnerable linkage under tractor would limit extreme wooded and rocky terrain. Lower ground clearance than other brands. FEL valve problems (to be covered under warranty).
