Quick Hitches Quick hitch - much quicker????

I bought a quick hitch and found it took more time to hook up implements. Not all of the implements will hook into it without adapters or adjustments. So now, I go straight to the 3PT set up.

ctpres,

I'd love to see pictures of your Land Pride quick hitch in action, especially with the PHD. Got any to share?

Is their any advantage to buying attachments as part of a "system" to minimize interchangeability issues? For example, if I buy a Land Pride hitch should I buy Land Pride attachments? Would this minimize the need for a gazillion different bushings?

I have Pats and I think they're wonderful. I can't imagine hooking up a heavy accessory with out them. My problem is keeping the arms spread. I have a home made spreader for my tiller (a horz flat piece of metal with a vertical bolt on each end that goes thru the holes on each of Pat's), but it's not useful for other implements. What are other's using? I suppose I could put on telescoping stabilizers, but that's $150.

I use the Pat's Easy Change and it certainly makes the job of "hooking up" much easier for me. It has eliminated most tugging, pushing and lifting on my part and as an added benefit I have not had to adjust/readjust the check chains on my lower arms. I'll have a set on any 3 pt machine I own.

Check outthe little clamp on the cheap box spring frames. Its used to hold 2 pieces of angle together andlet them slide to the point you want and tighten a thumb nut to clamp. All you need is one of those clamps and 2 pieces the correct size angle with vertical bolt on end of each.

As far as I know, you can not use a 3pt quick hitch with a 3pt post hole digger.

That's an idea, thanks.

Just ordered a Pats, couldn't find a quick hitch that would fit an older Woods Snowblower. The Pats system appears to be very flexible. Well I will know in a couple of days.

I ordered the stabilizer from Pats. It's adjustable and $20 + shipping.:)

Will do as soon as IKE blows by and we get back to normal. BAR BOB Ranch on dead center as of 7AM this morning. We are about 50 Mi north of Matagorda. Lots to do right now. Move sheep to high ground, board up windows and doors, move small stuff inside etc.
