yeah I noticed that too. I wonder how much Deere got for allowing them to use the line "if it runs like a Deere her eyes light up"

Who knows? It may have skated past due to NOT being the "Nothing Runs Like A Deere" add phrase, but Deere is tight with the licensing issue.

Well I bought a JD because I had a grey market Yanmar that was worn out when I bought it and I didn't want to take another risk so I bought a new and bigger version of the same tractor, a JD 790. I grew up with Farmalls and Fords so color made no difference. The 790 also looks to me like a tractor should look, of course I do wish for hydro and a cab once and a while.

Of course it's a John Deere...You're not going to see a sexy thing like that squirming all over a Cuboter, NH, cyotee, jinnma, etc...let alone see one of those in a top country music star's video. Only the best will do and that can only mean a John Deere, nothing less!

I know, it's weird. I grew up with red IH's, (not Case IH, even before that) and still always wanted a green one. There a true classic, and I didn't mind paying a bit of a premium for mine at all. Orange may be pretty good too, but it'll never come close to being as cool. I've never seen a dude with a Kubota tattoo......

Many times lyrics and musical scores can get by with 'limited' sampling of other materials without licensing or copyright infringement. Since it simply calls out a tractor manufacturer name.. it may not have been an issue... though I would bet that on an informal basis, permission was asked and granted contingent on other conditions.. etc.

i see alot of this in the music industry.. etc.
