Rob A, Great job on the bridge, I too would like to build a bridge across a little stream on our property, It will be a basic foot bridge (no horses) toying with it being a covered bridge...

But what I think is really cool is that stone barn in the background, I like southern Pa. I'm originally from the SW part of the state but I like the SE part better...:cool: Nice place you have there

I love covered bridges too. That may be a project for me one of these years. Do a search on this site, MikeD74T has a covered bridge.

The stone barn is my neighbor's. I think it was built in the early 1800's. It may look nice but it needs a lot of work. I think he got 1 estimate of $80k to fix it up.

My sister just completed a covered bridge on her property. She used a mobile home frame for the base. The siding and roof came from an old barn that a neighbor wanted gone.

spc can you get a picture of the inside how they did their framing for the cealing and walls, that is very similar to what we want to do on our little bridge.
