Regarding your snake problem, maybe if you contacted PETA or or a group like them you might be able to get some signs saying " NO SNAKES ALLOWED ". the signs might not work with the younger snakes depending on their reading ability.

Rob,
My uncle had a Brahma bull that kept jumping the catch pen (corral) fences until my uncle hung a sign that said............Use gate only. The bull quit jumping the fences.;)
hugs, Brandi

Putting up shelves helped to get at least one wall organized.

You can never have too many shelves, Rob.

You might consider making them earthquake-resistant, too. After suffering
damage from Loma Prieta in 89, I do not use free-standing shelves anymore
and my built-ins all have lips in the edges.

As for rattlesnakes, I new folks back when I lived in AZ who would skin the
snakes and pin the pelts up to dry. They made very impressive wall
decorations. They would look nice next to those game heads.

Good suggestion about the lip on the shelves Dave, that'll be easy to do.
About the rattlesnakes, we have several skins from the first ones we killed. They are "tanned" and Wes has them up in his room at the Rancho house. We'll bring them over to the new place.
Paguy was asking about how they taste, and yes, prepared correctly, they do taste like chicken. lol We've skinned and bar-b-qued them and they're quite tasty ... just a lot of bones to watch out for. I've also deep fried them in the past and they are good that way too. One thing I noticed was when skinning them, be careful not to get the sticky side of the skin (or meat) on any dirt or grass. It clings to the sticky side like gorilla glue !!

I was out bushogging yeasterday and while thinking about 3Rs new place I thought to my self, wouldn`t it be funny if 3R was part of a TV show like property ladder and just built his place to sell for the profit and then start building anoyher place.

Ha! That's funny ... I'm sure the rattlesnakes would make it a big seller for all the Orange County Housewives.:)

. I didn't check to see if they were garden tractors though. Now that I have that grass, I'll pay more attention.
LOL ... It will make it easier on Loretta.:)

Easier on my pocket book? easier on me? you plannin' on havin' ME mow that lawn???? I just figured I'd see how tall it would grow. After all, I didn't think we bought 26 acres just to be able to have to mow the lawn!
