This is what my tractor looks like after a day's work, often as not:
From this you can tell two things: 1) My tractor gets used hard and 2) There is no substitute for R1s.
So its no garage queen. And until recently if lived totally outdoors. With this sort of use (susbtitute the mud dust and weeds for when its dry) I rinse my machine off after most heavy use. Wash it once or twice a year. Waxed it once, just hood and fenders. That's why it still looks like this (before use) after 3 years of work:
Now, I'm guessing this post is a poke at a now famous new member. But my tractor is due for a wash and wax and while I'm at it I may very well wax the rims and the ROPS. Might sound nuts to some, but if I have the time and the inclination, why not? It will last longer, keep its value longer and the truth is, mud, dirt and dust all rinse off a waxed surface easier.
