Don't do it!!! I guarantee you you'll lose big money!

The reason? I bought early in the day on Friday when F was under $2 a share and GM was about $4.12 a share. If I bought it, that's the kiss of death! Anything I buy immediately drops like a rock!

Dargo,
I guess your luck is like mine!!!:D:D:D I have been watching and learning, but no money spent in the stock market.

My neighbors son works at the Toyota plant in Kentucky, just south of Cincinnati. He told me back in August that the truck sales were hurting. One thing I did thank was interesting though is they offered the employees other work rather than eliminating jobs or lay off's. He said they were doing everything from painting bridges to cleaning up vacant lots and river banks for the county.

Chris

You have say that is thinking outside the box by all means.

Um, GM is now about $3 a share. How low will it go? Already lost 25% more since Friday. :(

I would stick it out. You bought much lower than a year ago. It may take a year for it to go back up abit. Example, look at Harley Davidson in the 80s and Reagan stepped in, then look at them in the 90s till a few years ago.

I do have feeling it will go back up. Then again I am no expert at this.

I think I'm gonna go buy me some GM stock. We all know they'll be bailed-out. I'm sure it will go up again once the gov't gets them their loan.

I got some $4.12 a share GM stock if you want it. :D

Analysts are betting under a dollar [they would be delisted eventually if it stayed that way]. It is just like the banks were, not enough upside long betters, and locust swarms of naked shorters. Of course, it could also be a bit of a political game, with GM pumping the bad news to get a bail out through sooner... or at least soon enough to survive if they have in the past been using rose colored CFO glasses.

The shorters might get caught out if a fat bailout package comes through. Think Volkswagen/Porche on a smaller scale so far as betting the wrong way.
