Really hope your MIL enjoys her trip ! Yesterday was a beautiful day and Im sure she saw some beautiful foliage in southern New England, but its past peak in northern NE. Im guessing that the majority of the leaves are off the trees at my property in Vt
There are still some pretty pockets of color around my Ct home. Today we are expecting a fairly significant amount of rain, which unfortunately is going to take away alot of our color here ! Thanks for the compliment on the pics, I think half of what makes a good picture is having your camera on you at the right time !

Good Mornin Guys,
These are just a couple of shots from last weekend. A couple of interesting fog shots, and I started clearing some trees just to the left of where I want to build my barn ! We are hoping for 2010, at least to get the shell up, time will tell. We used the tractor with about 100 ft of 1" rope to make sure they come down in the right spot !

Hey Scotty, you don't know where a guy could find some leaves, do you? Those are sure some nice fall shots. My yard is filling with oak leaves as fall hits here. Trouble is, if I rake the leaves today, by tomorrow you wouldn't know I'd ever done it. The wind whips the leaves into big moving piles that look like reddish-brown snowdrifts.

Hello Scotty, nice pictures, sure hate to see those trees come down, but one has to do what one has to do. Know it will be nice to have a barn to store stuff in, after 2010.
Heck by that time you will be living there full time, right? Must be tough getting up in the morning and just seeing those darn hills...LOL

Actually the leaves on the Vt property are not an issue ! The wind blows so hard that by the next time Im there they will have blown off the backside of my property !
On my little 1 acre lot in Ct I spend an unbelievable amount of time cleaning leaves week after week ! I hate it, 1 vote for Vt ! Good Mornin Rob,
Yes those fog shots really got my attention last weekend ! It was almost like a river of fog !
BTW Wayne, this is why the driveway is an adventure in winter !

That Driveway would be a Winter project. Not only will it be full when it snows every time the wind blows it fills up again.
But on the bright side; those hard packed windblown drifts cut up real nice for snow building blocks!

Wow that is some driveway! If you have to drive up then walk it to get the trator going to plow that it must be fun! Do you put up snow fences? Seems like you have the space for them and it would maybe keep the snow from blowing back in??

Actually I keep the tractor up at Uncle Daves barn about 3/4 mile up the road. I thought about the snow fence, that would be a project in itself also ! And then taking them down in the spring so I could mow the fields !
So far just alot of procrastination ! Egon,
No snow forts but we have made some quality snowmen !
