Kubota BX25 4-point hitch needed???

I get it. Very interesting. Kinda like a quick hitch mounted to those hooks for the backhoe. If it mounted easily it would be a great improvement from having to muscle that 3PH gear in place. I find removing and installing the backhoe alot easier than installing the 3PH.

Maybe some day I'll get one or two extra machines so I can leave the BX24 as a TLB and have my other tractors ready for other jobs. Hmmm, who do I sound like.

LB,
Just helping you on your way to 10,000. I see 9,800 is within sight. I'll have to revive the other thread soon.

Bota Jim,
Yes that is what I am after. Even if the top of the hitch attaches to the center top link attaching point, either way would be great.

BXpanded sent me some pictures of his new fixed mount hitch and its easy on/off too but it seems to low, but maybe not. I asked Harry when his will be available and at what cost, BXpanded.com makes great products.

I think that is a little too low. my camper have leveling jacks and if i mounted it there it would be too low and it would be scraping the ground. I dont want to have another drawbar just for the camper on tractor. My other trailer hve swing gup jack and i wont be able to swing it down if loaded. Really i think bxpanded could have come up with a way to use the backhoe bosses holes on the BX that would be much higher and still dont interfere with the PTO.

The Quick-on Receiver hitch is about 9 1/2" to top. It works with or without the 3 pt hitch. Goes on with 1 pin. Does not need to be removed to install the BH or the 3 pt hitch. Does not interfere with the BH Dolly. Fits all the generation 50 and 60 BXs (1850-2660 and BX24-25). If used to skid logs for instance, it puts the pull point down low to help avoid "wheelies". In fact, you could drag that log with the BH mounted.

As for the height, that could be changed but at the expense of some of the above advantages. Off-the-shelf drawbars can get you to about any height you want for trailer towing. My camper trailer likes the hitch about 14" high. Northern Tool offers a drawbar that gets to there for $19.99.

Designing a mount to use the BH mounts is no problem. In fact, it's already designed for use with a future item. I just really didn't see a big upside in this case. That mount will be physically larger and heavier making storage and installation a little more difficult. It will be more expensive to make and to ship. It will only fit the BX24-25. I am certainly willing to produce it if there is demand.

i like that quick-on reciever. thats about the same height as the one on my truck. my ball mount is a 2" rise to get to about the right height for my trailers. it would work fine with that. ok, harry, give us price and availability on that. i'll take one of those!! i am shuffling trailers around my shop constantly with my bx. i currently use a bucket reciever which is good but it would be great to pull from either end.

Ok - many good points made here. However what i have in mind is that majority of time i use BX for trailers and BH . Its a pain to connect the 3 pt hitch and drawbar with balls on it. there is a alot of parts to connect. What i was thinking is a single unit that connects in the bosses and have sliding middle with a receiver tube to connect to the lift arms at top. This way i can still use the lift arms to grab the trailer and go. (like a forklift mount). This would be a selling point with the BX25's since they dont come with 3 pt hitch. I understand this would add weight since its a single unit, but i sure some sort of a tripod stand would be built in also for fast removal. ( tall order :D) I then would be able to use my carryall i have with my truck on the bx at any given height or my hitches for trailers.
