Kubota BX25 4-point hitch needed???

What i was thinking is a single unit that connects in the bosses and have sliding middle with a receiver tube to connect to the lift arms at top. This way i can still use the lift arms to grab the trailer and go.
I think I have the idea. You want to back up to the trailer, raise the hitch and capture without getting off the tractor similar to what is done with a 3pt hitch mounted ball. Correct? Hmmmmm, Lemme see...

got the pm!! thanks. i get in touch sooner or later. what radioman had in mind would be the shizznit!! that is the one thing i like about a bucket reciever....grab and go. you dont have to mess with a tounge jack or anything. i just hate pulling backwards and sometimes it alot of weight out front. i picked up a trailer one time that had a truck on it that i was moving in and out of my spraybooth. my right front tire happend to be somewhat low on air and i forgot i had taken the box off the 3pt. man, i grabbed that thing, the back went up, the front tire squished, the tractor tilted so far to the right it threw me right off the seat. didn't know what was going on. that darn seat is so slick (i have the old one). it all took me by surprise. picking up from the rear is a much more stable way to do it since the rear of the tractor is so much more beefy. it will handle more weight back there too.

Boy you guys are tough! First you want a receiver hitch that goes on quick without the 3 pt. We get that one figured out, now you want the thing to go up and down and grab the trailer! ;):D Anything else while we're at it???

On the low height of the BXpanded draw bar pin on hitch receiver, I've seen somebody take a tongue hitch with a 3" or more drop and turn it upside down (so the bend is up, not down) and mount the 2" ball on top of the upside down tongue hitch. Just a thought, but that would get your 2" ball up another 3" or so Won't help with the raising and lowering to automatically hook up, but hey it's a thought.

BXpanded, Bota Jim and Radioman,

First I would like to wish you all a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving Day.

Radioman and Bota Jim I agree with you both, grab and go is the way to go if it is possible. I would love to be able to grab, lift and go without having to purchase then attach the three point hitch and then attach the trailer hitch to the three point hitch on my BX25 to tow from the rear, what a pain! Plus the three point hitch is an option to purchase on the BX25.

I thought a round bar in the hooks (lower mounts) with a flange on the ends to prevent sideways movement and a 45 degree tube up/outwards to the 2" square that receives the draw bar and then again a 45 degree up/inwards to the rock arms all in one piece. My thought is that when the rock arms go up/down it will cause the trailer ball on the hitch to tilt and rock somewhat giving you the effective action to grab, lift and go.

chris, thats what i have on my truck. it has been lowered and looks like harry's reciever is around the same height. the one on my truck is a 2" rise so the quick attach reciever would work great for me. i am curious if and what harry comes up with. i'm not in a super rush so i'll make a decision then.

I like the way that BXpanded carryall connects to the rear of the tractor...man, that sure beats connecting a 3 point hitch. Unfortunately, I'm looking for a carryall that can handle a heavier load so I can build a box on it to haul firewood. With that and a couple of the BXpanded forks on the front bucket to carry a pallet/box full of firewood I'd be all set and wouldn't have to deal with a trailer.

Anyway, as bota jim said somewhere, a real tractor just has to have a 3 point hitch. :) Probably good to have one anyway, just for resale some day

I sent Larry at BXpanded an email asking if he was up to the task to design another rear hitch for the four-point users with a grab and go style. I would think with all the BX22, BX23, BX24 and BX25 just in the Kubota line not counting the ones that have added a hoe to the BX2200, BX2230's and the other models would LOVE it.
