5 Gallon Cans and the American's with Disabilities Act

I just checked their website BlitzUSA and it looks like all the good ones are discontinued. Fleabay may your only option.

Thank the government:mad: How may people who pass these STUPID and IDIOTIC laws have to deal with this crap! NONE would be my guess:p

Not sure what "old style" can you are looking for? Here's a can that you can't buy if you live in about 10 different states. PA included. I think I would opt for the battery pump if you can't find the cans you are looking for. The HF can/pump looks like a great idea if it's not a piece of junk.

Yep, they don't sell those in Texas anymore, so I went to Oklahoma and bought some. Then I drilled a little hole in the top behind the top handle in which I keep a golf tee (something I guess I learned about on TBN) except when pouring gas into the mower. But you still have the splash and gurgle.:( I have to pour very slowly and carefully to avoid any spills.

Ugly scar, but the hand looks good, trust me I know and understand inconvience when it comes to two handed operations, maybe wrong word there. The HF unit will last about 2 years, when mine quit working I went with the battery pump, for me it is the best option. Better to have a scar than an ugly hand.

I do the same thing as Bird, except I use a sheet metal screw. I like the larger head on that type of screw. Easy to put in and it stays there while transporting the fuel. Then it comes out by hand just as easy.

The new ones are very difficult to use with two good hands, I couldn't imagine what it would be like with a handicap. I have the new ones in one gallon size for my weed eater and chain saw. Different mixtures for each, so I have two containers. I think that I spill almost as much as I put into those tanks while using the new style. It might have worked great in theory and some laboratory, but for me, it's a big mess.

I don't want to sound insensitive here, but you two could probably relate to this. There's a guy around here that I've met a few times. He does treework. When he cut his thumb off the doctors took one of his toes and attached it there for him. There's no mistaking it. He told me that people are always telling him to keep his feet off the table.

No doubt, the more they improve them, the worse they work.

I have to work around being left handed so i can imagine having a problem with the hand. I am not sure what you need. ?

I said I didn't know that.

Wayne county, you know that Disabilities Act carries alot of clout. If you were to make an issue of it you might start something good for everybody. We'd all end up buying Wayne County gas cans...

I just take the spout off this .
Then i stick the end of the hose hanging on the wall in it and pump the fuel into whatever I'm fueling.
