Wayne County, I am certain you have tried but just in case, are maybe the nozzles interchangable? Also noticed your signature, mine is a lot like yours.

I don't want to sound insensitive here, but you two could probably relate to this. There's a guy around here that I've met a few times. He does treework. When he cut his thumb off the doctors took one of his toes and attached it there for him. There's no mistaking it. He told me that people are always telling him to keep his feet off the table.

No problem here, I lost a great deal of skill and talent in the blink of an eye and only by the Grace of my God was there not more damage. I and others like me no longer have the luxury of failing at something and dismissing it. WE will find a way to get the job done. Failing for us is not an option, it gets personal. The old thing about the mountain, climb over it, tunnel through it, go around it, but beat it some how some way.

It's this type of attitude which has allowed me to do as much as I do. Most people I come into contact with never know anything is wrong with my hand, until I try to do something as trivial as button a shirt or pour gas from one of these ridiculous cans. I do thank God everyday that I have the mobility I do and can still count to 10. If my palm weren't so sensitive from the scar tissue and nerve damage, I would have a lightning bolt tattood on the scar. :)

You are so right ninefinger, but a man has to know his limits. A lot of times it does get personal when I can't do something and I find another way. This is the reason for this thread, to find another way. I completely severed my thumb muscle and have almost no use of my left thumb. Try doing something without a thumb. I don't know, maybe you already know what I'm talking about.

Jake 98, that is funny. I make jokes about my own situation. I don't mind jokes and humor as long as it's not meant as being malicious. When I can't button a shirt, I ask my wife to come over and button Corky's shirt for him.

Sorry about your injuries, both of yous. Glad you didn't take it the wrong way. I was doing some squirming last night wondering if the whole world would think that I was being callous for relaying that. It's a true story and the guy still does his job too.
Keep up the good work.

I had to buy one of the new cans ....trying to get the pushy thing on the spout to stay pushed so fuel would flow wasn't working at all.....wasn't even fitting into the tanks filler spout .... well....it works a lot better now ----my channel lock pliers fell against that ol spout and fixed it right up.

Yeah, Yoda and Bruce Lee, 2 of the all time greats. Another favorite of mine is one by Henry Ford. "Whether you think or think you can't,.......either way, you're right."

I think all the cans are the same, the only difference is the nozzles. I am going to look on Evilbay and a couple other places.

Funny thing is, if you lined me up with 10 other guys off the street, I'm the last guy you would pick with a disability. But with an injury like this, sometimes the simplest daily tasks become a nightmare.

Because every state has its own government team of experts that know better than the rest of us what is best for us. Looking toward the new administration - more controls on your life are coming soon.

They are $13.99 on ebay. Blitz is the manufacturer. I could buy them and ship them to you, but it's probably illegal for you to go get them filled.

Sincerely, Dirt

That's virtually the only kind and brand of can you can buy around here these days, unless you fork out big bucks for the fifty dollar a piece metal safety cans. I think the Blitz so called "self venting" cans are junk, but I'm betting the new CARB approved cans are even worse.
