Yikes! Is it Winter where you are?

-32C this am, or -25.6F, -37C or -34.6 with the wind chill. I was scraping snow off the skating rink yesterday in the back yard with my GC2310. Started no problem....since I'm using 5W30 synthetic oil and have the block heater plugged in :) I started using Wal Mart outboard/snowmobile 2 cycle oil at 1:125 ratio this fall since starting to use it in my 98 Cummins diesel. They've both started without a hitch. This 2 cycle oil really does act like an anti-gel, plus improves lubricity of ULSD.

I can't imagine all the snow and ice you fellows have to deal with! I have lived in south-central NC my whole life. We may have a few inches of snow a year. Most of the time we don't even get that! I guess it's not that bad here after all. The main problem here is the upper 90'sF and high humidity in the summer time. Sorry guys I shouldn't be talking about all that heat in January!

Good Luck with all your snow blowing and shoveling!!!!:)

Yes, it is Winter here too. But, at least we get some warm snow.

We've had the coldest November and December since we moved here to Virginia in the fall of 2000 but no significant snowfall yet. Had one dusting. I haven't put my back blade on yet. Still have the chipper/shredder on and will probably use it again today to shred up some downed limbs from all the wind we had recently.

LMAO! Love the pic.

From our local Environment Canada weather service data:

Yesterday

Max:
-17.4ーC
Min:
-34.4ーC

But today it's -16C and we're getting 7cm of snow. It's actually very pretty. Had some friends over yesterday and 5 kids were outside skating for quite a while.

We are just starting to get to the REALLY cold part of the year for Minnesota.
I'm from Michigan and used to winters but the first year I moved here I found out what cold is all about. 36 days in a row where the temp didn't even get above 0 degrees F. Temps like -15 to -35 F and windchills at times hitting
-70 F. The close the roads some days because its to cold. If your car stalls and your stranded you can kiss your butt good bye.
