Yesterday morning it was only -9 degrees and this morning it was nearly 5 degrees on the plus side and it has just reached 10 degrees, but there is about 8 to 10 inches of snow on the ground and still falling. One nice thing is that is is very fluffy and will be easy to move around.

It was the lowest temp in 5 years the AM news said today.

WE took my Grand daughter to Ski lessons yesterday and called my son to check on her (he snow boards) he said it was too cold and he wasn't going
I suggested the next time my granddaughter see's him my to call him a uncle Joe the wimp.

-27F here yesterday morning (picture below) and -34F friday morning.

There are two reports of -52F and -57F in the northern part of the state, both of which would break an 84 year old state of Maine record.

Strange weather out here. I'm in the sierra foothills in norther calif. and it's been in the high 60's to low 70's for over a week now.

Alright, I have had enough with the cold temps....someone plug the dang heater back in... -18 WC this morning and for the last 3 days it has been subzero.

I was walking in the grocery store with my jacket open, everyone else was bundled up like it was 25 below. I was thinking to myself, hey this isn't so bad. Then I got in the store, the heat hit me, then I thought to myself....are you nuts, its 25 below out there. Funny how cold it was when I went back out and dragging the cart through the parking lot with a foot of snow. Seemed like it took 3 hrs.

Just a matter of degrees, but its funny what you are willing to accept or rationalize until reality smacks you side your head with an icicle about the size of a 2x4.

anything less than 35 and i think i'm freezing to death.....

we had 0 and sub zero nights and around 5 during the day for about 3 days......then, on sat. it got up to 17 and i really thought it was a heat wave....we went atv riding and got outside.....
