How to find septic lines?

J.J., I frequent another website that is built around land surveying. We have had the same argument on that site at least 3 or 4 different times about dousing. There are an amazing amount of people that believe in it, so the people on this site are not unique. If you put 20 pennies in a hat and paint one of them orange, then have 20 people come by and draw one of the pennies, the one person that draws the orange penny will say he has a gift. half of the other 20 people will agree because they saw it happen.

This is funny. I had this debate with an excavator friend who believed he could find any water source. He keeps rods at hand at all times. It went on for month on us sending debating emails and discussions. I squared off a 20' x 20' space and barried a 5 gal metal paint can full of water 12" under ground as he claimed he could find it. I was amazed as he did end up finding it after about 10 tries and he was still off by about a 9 inches but the dirt was soft and collapsed next to were he was digging

When I had my well dug, I hired two different dowsers before I drilled. The first one located an underground stream. The second one located the same underground and another stream that crossed it at a different depth. He correctly predicted we'd hit water at 38 ft and 52 ft. We have one of the best producing wells in the area now.

These were both older retired guys who had been doing this for years and were picking up a little extra income. I had asked one of them if they were a 'dowser' and he said, "no, that's witchcraft and I don't believe in that" He then said something about Moses in the desert which I later looked up and discovered it's Exodus 17:5-6

We have heard that story many times about how Moses smote the rock and water came forth. But that was with a stick. and the meaning of smote means to deliver a blow, in a strong, vigorous manner. He probably smote a rock wall that contained water from a spring just sitting there waiting for the rock to either erode, or someone to smote it. How did that technique get from there to hear. It is in no way similar. I happen to see the movie Quiggly Down Under, and I will be dam* if I didn't see one of them stick a straw in the desert. and suck up water.

It just amazes me at the precision that they can tell if and how deep the water is.
Do you think that if they put down thirty wells in that area, that they might come up with some water. If any of you were to put that much faith in the good Lord, you just might have something.

Do you think that if I walk across my ten ft wide stream with a pine 2 X 4, that the force of the gravitational pull of the water will break it in half?

Where are all these smart people with the so called gift, that can find things. Why can't they find all the missing children and bodies of loved ones that have been disposed of .

Maybe someone has found all that hidden gold of El somebody with a pendulum and a good old map.

In the above post, and looking at the web site, did you hear him mention about the rock with negative energy, and another rock had positive energy. Do you think he was trying to sell some magic rods.

Open your mind and try. it's not rocket science. Take a couple of coat hangers and make 2 L shaped rods. They don't have to me long 8 to 10" at most. Hold them in your hands loosely horizontal to the floor and walk around with them in front of you. They will move and you won't be a witch.

No ones asking you to find people but they will move. Try it on stuff that you know and when it works go and try the neighbors yard. It will amazes you. You can't knock something that you did not try!

I only use the process as a guild when I don't know and continue to dig with caution.

I have tried all the techniques, and rods and Y shape sticks, and what I found out is that you can make those things move anyway you want. I would not be discussing this stuff if I had never tried it. We are supposed to follow a logical pattern about how things work. and logical thought is not being applied here. Maybe one day it will be with in my grasp.

No one has collected that $1,000,000 for finding water with a good percentage of success.

Your terms would be acceptable to me(sort of a single blind study

). It wouldn't make any difference, as I am not moving the wire. I don't think I could move it that smooth anyway to have it shift reliably over a particular point on the ground. In fact, I do my best to keep them pointed straight ahead of me, and they swing anyway. That might be the only hard part blindfolded as I have never tried it that way. When I am plotting something, I carry a hand full of wood chips and when the wire has swung 90 degrees, I drop a chip under the hand holding the wire, to mark the spot. Once I locate the line initially, and get an idea where it is running, I usually narrow the passes to the next predicted location to save time. We could run any type search pattern that makes you happy though
