I have a 24 and my dad has the 2350....they appear to be the same machine other than the backhoe on mine and I have a L240 loader and he has the L243 loader....I dont see a difference in the loaders.

My ? is...his max RPM is around 3900 and mine is 3500. What would be the 400 RPM difference...we bought these new.

The rated RPM for both machines is 3200 RPM. PTO speeds are set at 3200 to. Your governor must not be adjusted right. I would not want to run one at 3500 or 3900.

The BX 24 and BX 2350 is the same tractor except for the BH.
Same goes for the BX2230 and the BX23.

I have a 2350 and it is rated at 3200. Mine will run at 3400 though. I dial it back unless I am mowing, then I rev it up. 3900 sounds way to fast.

I think 3900 is too high.....no wonder his tractor felt so much faster when traveling. We need to get his set correctly....mine fluctuates 3450-3500.

My BX2350 will max out at about 3200, give or take 30. I think 3900 is way too fast. This is the first Japanese diesel I have owned and 3200 sounded really fast to me until I got used to it, but they are designed to operate at 3200.

When I had a 24 my dealer told me these machines (24 and older models) never had tach's so don't worry about the RPM's. He said to run it at full throttle if I needed the power. From what he says the engines are built for rental equipment and are meant to be used and abused! I'm not sure I believe him, but then again I never threw a rod through my hood. I'm not sure there is a difference except now maybe the tach is made/ hooked up different?
