I bought an autodarkening welding helmet that works well. As far as I can tell it works as good as my $300 one.

I like the liquid tape to cover tape or plastic wire connectors to make them waterproof on trailer and so wire connectors can't loosen.

drill bits are hit and miss some cut and others just spin and smoke.

Bought the plastic welder but haven't had an opportunity to use it yet.

Also bought the $20 telescope that I'm hoping to use on the deck this summer to watch the commercial jets that fly way up there leaving contrails across the sky.

The 4 1/2 " grinder was a pleasant surprise when I had to cut some angle iron. It beat the old hacksaw method.

I like to buy HF magnets for my grandson to play with. These "rattlesnake eggs" were a big hit. They are amazingly strong magnets and when you toss them up in the air they bounce off each other and make a buzzing noise. They are so strong that he can put one on top of his open hand and a second one will cling to the bottom of his hand. They are frequently on sale for less than $2

Those rattlesnake eggs are pretty cool;)
BTW they will break if abused enough:eek:

The auto sensor welding helmet has been very good. A pair of the welding gloves was missing the left thumb lining. The height adjustable roller outfeed stand is as good as the name brands 3x the price. The green canvas garden umbrellas are a one breeze wonder. Rotary tool accessories are very poor. The people are very friendly and I have never had any problem with returns.

I think I will try out the framing nailer next

If you do get the framing nailer and find that it double nails half the time, you can take out the safety spring and cut a little bit of it out. This will reduce the pressure you need to depress the safety, and thus reduce your double fires.

Here's what happens: you press hard to depress the safety. Then, the gun fires and you get some kickback. But, you are pressing so hard, you end up pressing the gun into the wood again, and you get a double-fire. This problem eventually caused me to put a nail into my hand. I went out and bought a decent framing gun the next day. Using the new framing gun, I figured out the problem with the HF one.

Oh, and make sure you don't get a clipped head gun. Some places won't let you use clipped nails and pass code. (Clipped head nails are cheaper, though).

Some of the clipped heads will shoot a full round offset head for code compliance (or used to). Its been awhile so, this may be outdated.
