I think the 6GPM of the BX is total including the flow going to the power steering. I believe the flow available to implements (FEL, 3PH, Remotes) is only 3-4 GPM. Hard to find a 3PH splitter that will work acceptably fast at this flow rate. The new Powerhorse from Northerntool looks to be a good match as it's rated for 3GPM but splits in both directions. I only wish there were a Northertool store near me so I could see it before decidingwhether to buy it. Decisions, decisions!

The Powerhorse sounds interesting but I'm a little concerned about the wedge not being directly inline with the cylinder. Seems like an awful lot of leverage being applied to the sliding surface.

Add a Prince PTO pump to any 3pt splitter and you will have fantastic speed. This one is 6sec full cycle time.

Yeah, I thought about that too. Seems like the uneven torque on the cyclinder might cause issues over time. I guess if you're not going to use it to heat your home with wood, it would hold up OK. For how much splitting I do, I keep coming back to renting as the best option, even though I"d love to have my own splitter.

I rented a Splitfire 2 years in a row, and will be again this year. It is much the same as the Powerhorse and there has never been a problem with the wedge levering out. They get trouble free sevice from them.
I have split some massive rounds on it with no trouble.
