Boy, is the weather always changing or what?
This last week it's been getting warmer, yet there's supposed to be an inch of rain coming tomorrow? With the hot weather right around the corner, we need to finish the irrigation project to water around the home. Seems like we had plenty of time to get it done but we were swamped with other things to do. So getting some water routed around the place will go to the top of the list next week.

This week since I wasn't working on my tractor or Loretta's, I got a little more organized in the Barn/Shop. I was able to get the one side of the shop pretty much how I wanted. I have work benches lined up with my saw and grinders and welders and also a bunch of hand tools on the shelves. I ran power strips so they are available right away for this and that. I know it still looks like a mess, but at least I know where everything is, and it is all handy to get at while working in that area.

I also got (6) 55 gallon drums, 3 are steel and 3 are high density polyethylene. They originally held EDM dielectric fluid. I cleaned them out and filled 2 steel drums with red dyed diesel. I also filled my old 33 gallon plastic diesel drum and a couple of Jerry cans. Got a total of 150 gallons now. The 55 gallon steel drums are on a pallet so I can use my fork lift to move them around. The 33 gallon drum is fastened to a dolly and I use that one to get to the tractors. I have one of those crank pumps that fits a 2" NPS thread, so it will work on all the drums.
Running both tractors, that should get us through to Fall, I think. If I decide to use the other 4 drums, I'll build a little storage shed to keep the fuel in.

Rob, you might want to consider labeling the drums with the correct contents, just in case of an emergency.

Rob, Rob, Rob, you have a nice new shop and you get paint over spray on the floor. :( Oh, and the weather, it's suppose to snow here tonight.

Its cheaper than coating the floor and makes it easier to find drop bolts? That would be my excuse...

That would be if he painted it solid red, so I want to know why the over spray, because we know that Rob doesn't do things half --- way. He must have been in a hurry and just didn't realize what was happening.

Inspector,
Sorry I didn't show it in the photos:confused:, but all the drums have 2" stencil lettering "DIESEL" on them. I turned them sideways on the pallets so I could fill (get to) them while in my pick up bed. Thanks for the keen eye though.

Talk about a keen eye, you guys ... the floor ... well what can I say?
I didn't think it would show up in that photo, lol. I was indeed a little perturbed after doing it. It happened when I spray painted some of the loader components. Dang!
Oh, it's been pouring rain all night and right now. It went from 76F yesterday to 40F right now.

Good Afternoon Rob,
Wow your shop looks great ! If you havent sealed that concrete yet, you might be able to blast off the overspray, of course then you have to clean up that mess on top of it all ! ;)

Wish I had a cutoff saw in my shop ! ;)

So Rob, is that rain going to do some of your irrigation work for you? :) As in make gullies for you to put the pipe in, no trenching required.

You know that I'm just giving you a bad time, I only wish that I had a shop that big to get paint on. I have to paint outside in the sand from sand blasting, no fun.:( Oh well, maybe someday.

Is that a 10" bench grinder? Looks new.

After the one day cold snap, it's supposed to be in the high 70'sF and even over 80F this week.
Here are some photos that show Spring is in full bloom already around our place. Some are flowers Loretta planted around the rock ledges but al the rest are wildflowers.
They are everywhere now!

Rob your place looks like it could be a post card.

As far as the spray paint it now just has that "custom" look to it.:D
