Empty weight of Ram 3500 Quad Cab DRW 4x4?

I left the scales at 24,670#, I did not get a tare weight coming in.
The 4'x 20'x 1/4" thick sheets of plate steel weighed 1,650# each (was hauling 7). Trying to figure the empty weight of my tralier.

My guess is your truck from the factory weighs 7,500# if its a Cummins. You had 11,550# in steel so that means your trailer is about 5,620# with the all that was on it like straps, chains, ect.

I believe it is much more than that,,, I have a srw 3500 cummins and it is 7800 and change,,, Stock from factory except I added a trifold vinyl top for the pick up bed and this doesn't weigh more than 20 pounds at the most...

Every 3500 (ford, chevy) I've had have all weighed about that.

and the ford's are by far the heaviest.

Or, you could just go down to the local truck stop and weigh it all and stop all this endless bickering for about $8 or so

My 2006 Ford F-350 PowerStroke Short Bed Extended Cab 4x4 SRW with me in it and 3/4 tank of fuel weighs 7,600#. My neighbors 2007 3500 D-Max Long Bed Crew Cab SRW 4x4 weighs 7,000# with him and 3/4 tank of fuel.

The weight ahould be on your door sticker. I think my 2004 2500 diesel is 8800.

That is not the weight, that is the max GVWR. That is the max your truck can weigh with cargo. Your truck probally weighs about 7,000# so that would leave you 1,800# for the stuff in the trucks cab like you and your family, and then the load in the bed or on the hitch. As you can see having 1,800# is slightly more than 3/4 ton (1,500#) so you are good to go.

I was pretty close on my 7,500# guess. Actually not far off with a operator and his stuff plus some fuel in the tank.
