Another injector failure

This thread has been pruned. That includes posts that may have had quotes from other posters. No PMs have been sent due to too many people. Thanks.

Please continue the discussion. It has some very good information.

What an interesting thread,

Please understand, we watch these forums to learn as much as we do to participate. We get an immense amount of information about how you use the tractor, what you like/dislike, and what is important to you, the user. We provide technical help at times, but we also don't want to take away from discussions that take place when a group of users is offering input on an issue. We learn from these dicussions too. There are a lot of very knowledgeable people on these forums, that may or may not be dealers.

And yes, we have full time jobs, family, sleep, .....and nature calls us occasionally too.

Thank you for an interesting perspective. Everyone, even dealers, can learn from (some) of these posts. Your post pretty much sums it up, and explains, not that you should feel you had to, a dealers point of view. I,for one, am grateful you folks take time from your busy schedules to help owners that you had no prior dealings with(sales). Believe me, it is much appreciated ;)

On my DK45SE I think I would put the tractor in neutral, open the hood and turn off the fuel petcock by the fuel filter

This is starting to sound like a disturbing trend, I'm glad you got it shut down. What would happen if you had an HST tractor? I remember a runaway diesel on a boat over 20 years ago when I was in the Coast Guard, it's something you'll never forget.

I don't know, that half pint or so of diesel in the filter and lines might give enough run time for a grenade situation. I think if you decided to open the hood I'd try to plug the air intake off, that's how we did it on the boat.

Of course I'm talking about an overspeeding runaway engine that's destine to come unglued without intervention.

injector problems, oil coolers leaking. How bad is this?
I'm close to upgrading from my LB1914 to a CK 30hst or 35hst. 30 or 35 will obviously make current work easier and allow for bigger ones but should I reconsider until some of these issues sort themselves out?
