New JD 3520 : she's a beauty !

Another difference I notice; I read several posts on TBN stressing the necessity of wearing a seat-belt. One of the stickers on one of the loader arms even gives the same advice (probably a translation of the US version). The only trouble is there isn't a seat-belt on my 3520. And I've never seen anyone wearing a seat-belt on a tractor in this country, whereas they are compulsory in cars.

No FEL today, but weights on the front to counterbalance the rotary cutter. The four wheel drive makes the tractor very easy to handle and there is plenty of power.

That tractor with those tires makes it look alot bigger than it is. I like it.

Is that a home made bush hog? It looks good if it is.

If the ROPS is up you wear a seat belt. If the ROPs is down do not wear a seat belt. That is what I was taught.

Looks great. I also like the mirrors. Would be cool if they made them to line up your 3pt QH items!

JDeerekid, that is not a home made bush hog, I wish I could make one.
This one is produced by a small firm and sold by the farmers' cooperative. Quite strong and durable, but very heavy.
BloomingtonMike, unfortunately the mirrors don't show the 3pt hitch and the bloody seat switch cuts off the engine if you stand up to look. It's a miracle we all finally manage to do it !

Hedge-trimming today. Trees and bushes have all their leaves in June and hedges seem to take fabulous proportions. High time to bring back law and order and drive the bushes back to their former limits.

Thank you for the kind comments on my English. I must confess it is not good enough to understand what my tractor is trying to say. I happened to try to start the engine while the power-reverser was not on neutral and here is what she said : "nEutOF" (the third letter might just as well be a v). Can anyone tell me what it's supposed to mean ?

According to the 3x20 series September 2008 edition of the technical manual the English message would be "nESXXX" where XXX is either _On or OFF. If it read "nES_On" the tractor is in neutral (neutral state on). If it read "nESOFF" the tractor is not in neutral (neutral state off).

I would think that your "nEutOF" would then mean "NEUTral OFf" or in layman's terms; "the tractor is not gonna crank if is not in neutral".
