What carryall dimensions?

Does anyone know the size and thickness of the angle iron king cutter uses for their carryall? For those of you that use the king cutter carryall frame as a base, would you do anything different (thickness of angle, etc) if you were to build one from scratch?

The carryall is about an hour away but I am pretty sure it is 2 1/2 inch angle, 1/8" thick. If I was building the frame from scratch I would use cat1 dimensions for the three point hook up -- the top link hole is the wrong size on mine and the bottom pins are not even close to spec in terms of distance apart. I would weld a receiver hitch to the back of it (probably use an HF bumper hitch welded onto a crossbar) and I would run two pieces of angle front and back on the platform piece so I could run the "floorboards" front to back and have them supported at each end. I might make the angle a little thicker if I had some lying about but I have done some terrible things to mine and it is still fine. JMHO

Is the flat stock for the top link holes 1/8" also?

I think it is 1/4'' flat stock

I just measured My new KK & its all made out of 1/4 inch except for the upper & lower atachment brackets , they are 3/8,s . Heres a few Pics of it on my wifes baby tractor.

Is that angle Iron 3"?

Does yours have a 3/4 toplink hole and are the bottom links capable of fitting in a 27 1/2" quick hitch? If so mine must be an older model that they have fixed the problems on. -- and thickened up

I,ll go look BRB . OK Yes its 3 inch angle . The holes are 3/4 inch . The width at the lower hookup is 24 inches from center to center of the lower bar brackets . I hope that helps . Bob

Seems like they have changed it quite a bit but it would still not fit a quick hitch very well--- Trook you might want to check cat1 specs if you are making one to line up with a quick hitch.
