Yep, pool of used cars goes down, and of equal importance, the pool of used parts goes down, since I doubt those cash for clunker cars were parted out. So those that don't turn theirs in and like driving their old iron, will ultimately be unable to find parts in the wrecking yards sooner than expected... I would call this a forced upgrade.

That is just unbelievable! I did not know they destroyed them like that. It is completely against my reasoning. It hurts to see that done since I take good care of my stuff.

Ask your state reps and people in congress for a "Cash for A'agers" program inception to move all those rusty old, fume belching, "unsafe" tractors to newer models.

Sad part about this program is now that the dealers know you are getting a rebate, they sell you the car for $2000 more than they would have gone down otherwise. So if you get a $3500 rebate on a truck you could sell for $2000, you are actually losing $500.
