Update: kubota weightbox & land pride qh-15 are incompatable

guys,
my silly saga continues with my bx2360, weightbox and land pride qh-15 series quick hitch.
dealer came out and made the accessment that they were incompatible from a couple standpoints, without major (jerry rigging)/modification.
my bx truly needs the weightbox for the fel work and snowblade work. to say that i'm a bit miffed and p.o.'d at the same time.
from jump street, i intended to have implements on dollies. i didn't want to have to horse implements around on dollies! . . . i bought into the quick hitch dream.
it makes no sense to take the lp hitch off to accomodate the weight box. i went with the land pride hitch because (right or wrong), i thought it was a very sturdy alternative to some of the other quick hitches available . . . a partner to kubota and would require less hook up steps than pat's easy change system.
anybody have a kubota weightbox on a land pride qh-15? what modifications did you make

Buy the JD ballast box and paint it Kubota orange.. As your dealer said, the Kubota box will not fit without modification. Kubota is aware of this, and I was told they're designing a new ballast box that will be QH compatable.. But, I'm not holding my breath...

Fill your tires!!!

My 7510 has loaded tires and there is no need for a weight box. In snow or with the FEL. I max out my FEL at about the same point the rear tires come off the ground when driving...

Agree. Fill the tires. I don't even have a weight box and do allot of FEL work and plow snow. I have not needed any additional weight. The three point can better be used for more useful tasks then a weight box.

i agree, there are better uses for the 3pt hitch. i have 55 lb wheel weights for the rear.

Sounds like you have the weight covered and if you need more, filling the tires will take care of it. I really like having my filled tires. My last BX did not have filled tires.

Now on the Three point quick-connect...That is on my short term wish list.

Gotta remember, Art sells weights, which typically cost double or more per pound than liquid ballast. I'd have all wheel weights, too, if the cost was equal.

Some implements are simply not compatible with any quick hitch. It is just one of those things and it has always been that way since quick hitches were invented. When I bought my first attachments, I was going to get a QH and the salesmen told me this, therefore I didn't buy one. I custom built dollies for each implement instead.
