If you didn't take delivery yet, you might want to try the check chain setup before you splurge.
Looks GREAT -Woo Hoo!!!!
I just got the telescoping links installed on my B7610. It only took about 20 minutes. I've had the parts all summer -- don't know why I waited so long to actually install them.
I'd take pictures, but it looks just like these from peterc38:
I realize many looking to upgrade might not want to spend more money.......... but adding the extendable lower arms off of the 27/2910 or 26/3030 make this set-up slicker than cat poop on linoleum! I've never priced them, but IMO they eliminate any need for a Pat's, I-Match, or any other aftermarket system. I never could have guessed at how easy swapping implements could be till a got my 3030 (even when I had an I-Match).
For anyone looking to put the telescoping links on an L series, or something else...... if you are concerned the arms may not open wide enough, the male (inner) piece could be easily made of flatstock to any lenghth. A little time on the drill press would have all the adjustment holes made. Just a thought.![]()
