B7800/B29xx Telescoping stabilizers

Woo Hoo!!!!
I just got the telescoping links installed on my B7610. It only took about 20 minutes. I've had the parts all summer -- don't know why I waited so long to actually install them.

I'd take pictures, but it looks just like these from peterc38:

I have a B7610 also, how hard is it to remove the old turnbuckle system? I purchased a set of the new telescoping links.

I just replaced the turnbuckles on my B7800 with the adjustable stabilizers. It took me about 15 minutes using just a couple of wrenches. Really worthwhile improvement to this machine.:) And I have Pat's easy change system as well!

It's really easy to do. It took me about 30 minutes but I wasn't trying to set any records. There is a long pin that you have to tap back and forth to remove the old brackets and reinstall the new ones. You don't have to remove the tires or anything like that.

It's real easy, although, if you have your rear wheels set narrow, you might need to remove one to get the shaft out that holds the chains.

I installed mine today, pretty simple and I didn't even have to remove a tire. I just slid the shaft to one side all the way removed old turnbuckle style and installed the new. I didn't have to remove shaft at all, just slid it from one side to another. This is the hot set-up, now I see why everyone recommended it.

I was wondering how thick the stabalizers is. The reason I am wondering is I use my B7800 to mow hay with a 6 foot sickle doses great but this weekend a chain that raises the sickle got caught between the turn buckle and the lifting arms and broke the turn buckle. Though even before now the threads on the turn buckle was sticking and had jambed up once all ready and I am going to have to replace thim so I figgured if I was going to spend the money to replace the turn buckles I might aught to just go with the stabilizers. But I was wanting to know how sturdy they were.

I know this is an old thread but where can I find the B7800 stabilizer kits or parts to make these?

Thanks

Perry

Bought a pair of these generic sway bars to modify and fit on M59. $115 on eBay. Much better stronger than the OEM turnbuckles and a whole lot quicker to adjust. Like them so much did the same for the B26.
