I'm sure most kids that grew up on a farm are no strangers to this.. we were put up in excavator buckets and swung around to scare us as kids.....or right up on a telescopic mast....Saying that i would'nt post pics of it though...Thats asking for trouble..?
My kids put me up to work from the bucket these days..!

Mikeee, Mikeee, Mikeee, slow down there for just a second. No one is stupid when it comes to kids and tractors. What you're seeing are photo ops of proud tractor owners showing off their wives, kids and especially tractors. No harm in that. No different from one of my previous posts showing me "racing an airplane down the flightline." Do you really think I was racing an airplane with a tractor that tops out at 7 mph ? Heavens no. Give it a rest my man. These are staged photos. They're just having a little fun.

I think their main concern was from past postings in the Safety forum where people have been hurt terribly or killed by what seemed like fun to ride in the bucket or sitting beside the operator. Far be it from me to say I have done things safely all of the time. I applaud that they point out how dangerous that practice may be.

Here are some pics. of me mowing with my personal body guard or guard goose Henry. He is with me for most of the three acres of mowing only flying off to the pond for dip and then back to work watching over me. People often stop on the road and take pictures of me an Henry mowing.

LB, He sarted following me when I mow about two years ago. It sarted out he would just do it when I was around the pond area. Now he is ready to go soon as I fire up the tractor and pretty much stays with me the hole time. It does take me a little longer to mow when he is helping me but I injoy his company. For some reason he likes to walk along side the discharge of the mower I am afraid he might get hit with somthing but there is no way I can keep him from doing it. And he also walks right in front were I can not see him very well. He will take a couple breaks now and then flying off to the pond and then comes back. One time he jumped up and started flying and knocked my hat off with the wind. Henry makes a very good gaurd goose nothing gets by him, he will let you know if somthing is not right out side.

We had a goose sorta like that. He was mean when you got too close, if you were a guy. If you're a girl he'd let you pet him. He was very protective of my niece. He honked whenever someone came down the drive. He was killed by a fox, we found his body on the other side of the property. I guaruntee he was fighting that fox til the moment he died, flappin his wings and biting, and pecking and hissing. Man we miss that goose. He strangely never went to the creek with the other ducks and geese, but stayed up by the house and coop, with one of those little Rubbermaid tubs for water and to swim.
