Cab for a 5103.

We only have one Deere right now, a 455 L&G. I would give it a faster reverse, and some sort of way to tell when you're at 540rpm, even if it's just a light that turns on when you get there.

Too bad you don't have a tachometer. I was expecting it to be standard feature in all 400 and above models.

That is a good idea on the PTO speed.

How about a real front pto. Not running off the mid pto shaft. I wish my 3320 had this option. That way you could use your front broom without taking off your mower deck.

I would like to see a positive lock on the range lever on my 3720. Three times I have accidently knocked it out of B range when I was on a hill and rolled a ways when I wasn't expecting it. I also had the same thing happen on my old 4200.

I agree with Dave. On my 4720 cab tractor I have one set of hydraulic outlets on the back and its not enough. New Holland offers up to three sets on the back for about what Deere gets for the deverter. I would like to see a fender mounted switch on the back like the larger tractors to move the three point hitch up and down.

I also would like an option for the step and entrance into the cab from the right side. I know there isn't much room to get around the hydro pedals and the hydraulic valve control but it would be nice to have the option.

I think Deere could improve the sound system in the cab. Its decent but the factory speakers are just average and there could be two rear speakers as well. My original factory radio/cd player only lasted about 9 months. The Jensen replacement is a much better unit.

There never seems to be enough lights especially if the loader is mounted. I would like Deere to offer some midcab front lights or some loader mounted lights like the loaders for the 5000 series offer.

JD 2520 with FEL and BH

a middle speed. between too slow and too fast

tires that nails refuse to stick thier dangly pointy bit into

sometimes I wish I had a bigger bucket on the FEL (if the JD Gods saw what I picked up with mine they'd probably take it away from me.)

I want a cab and a taller garage door, too.

I'm very happy with my present JD 3520 power reverser, but some details could be changed, here is my wish list :
. a decent way of using the 3rd SCV, instead of the present lever which has to be held in place (unfortunately I only have 2 hands) or tied with a small chain or elastic band which regularly comes off when you are using it for several hours on end. Why it cannot stay on as long as you need it is beyond my understanding.
. slower A gears for applications needing rpms for hydraulic output and slow tractor movement
. a buzzer or flashing light when I forget the parking brake (quite often).
. a lower ROPS that would fit standard garage doors. More generally, the tractor seems designed to operate in vast open spaces, without walls, garage doors, low branches hitting the lights or bushes catching the hoses under the tractor, etc. An effort should be made to make it more practical.
. a tool box somewhere

I would think about telescoping lower links on my 4120. This tractor is heavy and rolling it back and forth trying to change implements is tough compared to my smaller tractors. Also the clearance seems a little too tight on the 3-pt pins making attachment more difficult than it needs to be. Luckily I have nearly as many tractors as implements so changes are rare. Definitely happy with the open station/canopy and very happy I did not get a cab. Also love the powerreverser trans and R1 tires. 400X loader has been great also, glad I saved the money and spilled material that the CX would have cost me.
